"I'm okay Princess." He said, I hugged him tightly and he hugged me back. "So the potions worked?" I asked him but he just brushed my bottom lip with his thumb. "No, love. You did." He said so lovingly "Wait, what do you mean by that?" I asked him, He took my hand and guided me out to the living room. Drew was being smothered by Amber in all her glee. Rayne turned to us and smiled, "I see you finally woke up." She said, The Doctor also came into the room. "So I have good and not-so-good news." He said looking at the papers in his hand "So the good news is you guys are healed, and then some." "And the not-so-good news?" Amber asked, "Well, I don't know to what extent. They have been healed, it looks like every internal and external wound and abrasions have been restored." Dr. Marc said, Daimen did a once over on himself and there was a scar that played across his body. "Well, almost all of them." Dr. Marc said
Everyone was over the moon for the boy's recovery, but we still wondered how. If their conditions were getting worse, and the potions Amber and I made weren't given, then how?
I was sitting in a bay window sketching, "Hey Mrs. Luna." Drew said, I looked up confused. "What? Too soon?" He said, "I don't even know what you had just said, but what's up?" I asked, Drew pulled up a chair and sat beside me. "Another portrait?" He asked, I nodded. "I, I just wanted to thank you, for healing us." Now I was even more confused, "How could I heal you? Amber couldn't even do that." I said, but he just shook his head and shrugged. "I don't know, maybe whoever has been teaching you magick can explain." "How did you know about that?" I asked, Drew's face went red and he hung his head. I gently grabbed his shoulder, "Please tell me." I said, "Were you planning to keep it from us? Your training and your magick?" His voice was quiet, and I don't why, but it felt like he was trying not to anger me. "Drew, I'm not made and I wasn't going to hide it, but I still have no idea as to why you think I had something to do with this." It was then did I see the realization hit him. "When you were singing, I don't know myself, but you're singing healed us." He said.
I shook my head, singing is just singing." I said, "you are starting to talk crazy." I turned back to my book, he huffed and started shuffling. Then he started playing music, "I bet you, twenty dollars, that something magickal will happen when you sing." I looked at him like the poison did more than almost kill him, but I wanted to prove him wrong so, I sang a different song than what he was playing. "Under the snow, beneath the frozen streams. There is life
You'll have to know when nature sleeps she dreams. There is life
And the colder the winter, the warmer the spring, The deeper the sorrow, the more our hearts sing. Even when you can't see it inside everything, There is life." I watched in amazement when flowers started to grow and bloom as I sung, there goes my twenty dollars. "After the rain, the sun will reappear. There is life. After the pain, the joy will still be here
There is life. For it's out of the darkness that we learn to see. And out of the silence. That songs come to be. And all that we dream of awaits patently. There is life, there is life."
I handed him the twenty and just then the others, including the Doctor cam into the small library. "What the?" Rayne said, I looked at Daimen and he just had the biggest grin on his face. "How, how did this happen?" Amber asked, I didn't say anything. "Anna," Daimen called, I wanted to hide. Then all the flowers began to die and then faded to wherever they came from. "Okay, that was weird." The Doctor came over to where I was and sat next to me, "May I?" He asked, I looked between everyone then nodded. He pulled out a needle and I tried not to freak out, and as the blood began to pool in the tube it settled as the brightest red could ever be, with literal black and white swirls and an insane amount of glitter. "What the fuck!" Everyone but Daimen said in unison. I looked at the Doctor, and he just nodded, "The purest pure blood in over a thousand years." He turned to Daimen, "I better not ever get a call for her, do you understand." He said it like a protective father. I inwardly smiled as I looked up at my mate. "Trust me Doc. I would rather watch the world burn before I ever let any harm come to her." He said as he walked up to me, he knelt down in front of me and cupped my cheek in his palm. It was warm and felt so good against my skin. And before I knew it, he was kissing me, sweetly, and it was the first time, in a long time. I felt safe and at home with a person.
Throughout the day, we all discussed what had happened to the boys that night. Apparently, when they left to come to pick me up, they were driving and Drew suddenly made them stop. "What? We gotta get Ann from work." Daimen said, "Yeah I know, but, don't you smell that?" Drew asked, "What? Your fart?" The boys chuckled then got serious, "That's not good." Daimen started the car again and began to drive off as fast as the car would go. "Why the hell would they send That?!" Drew exclaimed, they ran two stop lights before they could see the Dinner, and the car got knocked into. Daimen slammed down on the breaks, trying to gain a bit of control of the vehicle. "Run!" Daimen proclaimed, "I'm your guard and Beta remember!" Drew shouted back. Once the car stopped, both jumped out and ran to the woods so they could shift and fight.
"And that's when our suspicions were founded as the damned beast came from the shadows and both made us late picking you up and obtaining those injuries." Drew finished off the story, "So, they really did send one of those after you?" I asked Daimen, I walked over to where he was sitting and climbed into his lap, he wrapped his arms around my waist and kissed my forehead. "Yes, they did. I don't know why since they sent me here to find you." He kissed my cheek, "Maybe they found out you found her and tried to bring you back?" Rayne asked, "Then they would have sent guards or something after Anna." Drew said, I buried my head in Daimen's neck "Um," Drew turned to me, "That night when I was walking. I heard something and that's how I ended up in that suburban area. I think it was one of them too." I confessed. And Daimen's hold on me became slightly tighter. I looked up at him but he wasn't looking at any particular thing, "Calm him." Rose suddenly spoke, "What do you mean?" I asked, "Calm him, he's putting out too much mana." She said, I looked around the room and everyone was backing away from us. I turned to him again and made him look at me. "Hi," I said in the cutest voice I have, then I kissed him on the nose like a boop. He smirked and the tone of his hold changed. "You okay Daimen?" I asked him, but he only nodded and kissed me. "Much better." He said
I later went out that day against everyone's protest. I drove over to where Mason and I train and he wasn't there yet. So I just started without him, I was doing our exercise of trying to will a flower to bloom when I heard Mason, I went to where he usually appears, and what I saw shocked me. Daimen was with him, and they were talking like they had known each other since the beginning of time. I walked over to them and neither was surprised by my presence. "Hey, guys, what's going on?" I asked, they looked at me and smiled before looking at each other than back. "Babygirl," Daimen said, "I would like to introduce you to Mason, King of the Dragons and wolf born. He has also been a good childhood friend and I called him here to this realm to help me protect you." He said, I turned to Mason and he just looked at me. "So, you're a King?" I asked, "Yes." He said, "Babydoll if I may ask, how's your training coming along?" Daimen asked, "It's been good, why?" I said, "Because I wanna test something out." He turned to Mason with a grin on his face whereas Mason looked at him sternly, after a moment Mason's face relaxed and he turned to me. "Anna, I want you to focus on your sense of smell and allow your wolf to come forward." "What's going on?" I asked, "Just trust me." He said.
I nodded and he closed his eyes, I turned to Daimen and he only nodded for me to continue. I huffed and let Rose come forward, just then, Mason's scent became stronger and changed [insert smell and new smell] "Mate." I heard her say, I opened my eyes and Mason's looked different, he let his dragon out, "But," I trailed off as I could not find the words, "I know." was all he said, "Then why didn't you say anything!" Thunder struck the earth not too far from behind me, I didn't flinch "Why is it only your Dragon?" I asked, he sighed, "It's not just my Dragon." "But why didn't you say anything? How long did you know?" I asked him, "Since the night we met." He finally said.
