After two weeks with no updates, Noah came to Sarah's house last night. They were intimate once again, but he still left early in the morning as usual.
Sarah couldn't shake off her doubts. While Noah had mentioned their successful marriage registration, nothing seemed to have changed between them. Their marriage remained a secret, and she couldn't help but question the significance of their relationship. Did he come to her just because he wanted it?
"Sarah?" Daniel called her, his question hanging in the air without a response.
"Huh?" Sarah snapped, her attention shifting. "Sorry, sir?"
Daniel shook his head. "It's okay. Here, your coffee," he said, passing her a cup of coffee he had just ordered. "Let's go. We need to head to the site before noon," he smiled, walking past her and opening the door to let her out of the café.
"What's on your mind? You seem a bit distracted," Daniel remarked, accelerating the car as they made their way to the location they needed to visit.
"Hmm?" Sarah was caught off guard once again.
"Are you thinking about your boyfriend?" Daniel asked, a subtle smile playing on his lips. Meanwhile, he was subtly trying to gauge her relationship status.
"No, no," Sarah waved her hands as she denied the question, "I don't have a boyfriend."
"Oh really?" Daniel's expression lightened.
Sarah just smiled and shifted her eyes to the road ahead. Of course she didn't have one, she was married but only she and Noah knew at that moment.
As they arrived at the site, Sarah and Daniel stepped out of the car, greeted by the bustling atmosphere of the construction area. Workers in hard hats moved about, and the sound of machinery filled the air.
Sarah followed Daniel as he led her through the site, pointing out various areas and explaining the progress of the real estate project. The towering buildings stood tall, displaying the vision that would soon become a reality.
"Watch your step!" Daniel's quick reflexes saved Sarah from a potential collision. Her eyes were fixed on the towering structures, completely captivated by their grandeur. Unaware of the block arranged in front of her, she would have collided with it if Daniel hadn't intervened.
Feeling guilty, Sarah apologised, "I'm sorry."
"No, it's okay," Daniel reassured her, gently caressing her hair. "Just be careful."
"No, it's okay," Daniel reassured her, his hand gently brushing her hair. He paused, momentarily startled by the close call. "Just... be careful."
Blushed, Sarah was quite surprised by Daniel's sudden behaviour.
"I shouldn't have brought her here," Daniel said, glancing at Sarah, who was taking in the surroundings with curious eyes. He observed her as she examined the architectural blueprints and studied the layout of the site.
This morning, when Sarah asked if he had anything for her to do, he could sense her boredom, and that's when he got the idea to bring her along to the site.
"Head back to the car first, it's just not safe here," Daniel gently held onto her arm as he guided her to the side.
"Oh, I'm sorry, sir. I might have caused a disturbance to your work here, but I promise to be careful and not be a hindrance to your job," Sarah said with her eyes sparkling.
"It's not you causing me any trouble. It's just that I'm worried something might happen. This place has a high potential for accidents," Daniel explained, his voice filled with concern.
Sarah blinked her eyes, "If that is so, I will wait for you in the car," she said.
"Mr. Daniel!" Suddenly, their conversation was interrupted by a man who appeared to be in his early fifties. "What brings the CEO himself to this site?" he asked, his curiosity showed in his eyes.
Daniel turned towards the man, a polite smile on his face. "How are you, Mr. Fred?" he greeted, extending his hand to shake the site supervisor's hand. "I'm here to oversee the progress of the project and ensure everything is going according to plan," he replied.
Fred nodded, seemingly impressed. "It's good to see you personally involved. The team here will be motivated to work harder."
Daniel thanked him for the kind words and assured him of his continued support. As they wrapped up the conversation, Daniel turned back to Sarah.
"I apologise for the interruption," he said, his eyes filled with sincerity. "Let's head back to the car now. I'll make sure everything is in order here before we leave."

"Mr. Daniel brought her to the site today," Matthew reported, as part of his daily duty to keep Noah informed about the company's activities.
"Why?" Noah raised his head, his attention diverted from the document he had been immersed in.
"I'm not sure, sir. I think he wanted to show her the project we're currently working on," Matthew, who also didn't know the exact reason for a personal assistant to visit the site, offered a plausible explanation.
A few seconds of silence followed Matthew's response.
"Did you do what I asked you to do?" Noah questioned, breaking the silence.
"Which one, sir?" Matthew replied, seeking clarification.
Noah's glare intensified. "The one I asked you to do urgently this morning!" he suddenly shouted, unleashing his anger towards Matthew.
Matthew was taken aback by the outburst. He had been juggling numerous tasks, making it difficult to pinpoint the specific request. However, being yelled at caught him off guard. "Oh," he hesitated, gathering his thoughts. "I did it, sir."
"What did they say?" Noah leaned back in his chair, trying to calm himself down.
"They will release it as soon as tomorrow morning," Matthew provided the answer Noah was seeking.
"Great! You're dismissed," Noah closed his eyes. As the sound of the door closing echoed in the room, he opened his eyes and cupped his face.
Since the night he spent with Sarah, he couldn't stop thinking about her. He questioned whether it was solely due to the allure of her body or if his feelings extended beyond physical attraction. Regardless, he found himself craving more of her presence.
In an attempt to create distance, he refrained from contacting her and resisted the temptation to see her. However, last night, he succumbed to his desires and surrendered to the urge to be with her once again.
After a few moments of contemplation, Noah stood up and exited his office, feeling an urge to visit Skywards.
