Capítulo 37: Chasing The Shadow

The loud sound of the door being opened and slammed irritated Noah. He glanced up, catching sight of Grace entering his office.

"What is this, Noah?" Grace exclaimed, tossing her phone onto his desk. The screen displayed gossip news about Noah engaging in playful behaviour with a woman at a club.

"What?" His eyes remained indifferent.

"What? You don't know why I am angry right now?" Grace bit her lip, struggling to contain her anger.

Noah shrugged his shoulders, his lower lip pursed in an attempt to further annoy Grace.

"Noah!" Grace slammed her palms on the table. "I am your wife!"

Noah adjusted his posture, leaning back in his chair and idly rubbing his earlobe. He stared directly into Grace's eyes, a smug smirk forming on his face. "You are not. You know the truth. You will never be," he taunted, deliberately provoking the woman in front of him.
