Aurora already knew that Grace had allied and offered to provide humanitarian aid should they need it but joining the frontlines was optional as she did not want to put any of her own in the direct line of fire because the war was not theirs to fight but the missile fired that eliminated the Abnormalities in Ireland prompted a strong response from the United Kingdom and other nations because they know knew they had the abilities to elimitate Abnormalities on a country scale.

If they sat idle, there was no way they would not be dragged into this mess eventually and this made Grace realize that she needed to join in to protect her people.
