Capítulo 73: Chp-73: The Strategic Deployment and the Sand Battlefield Alliance

Namikaze Minato's expression was somewhat awkward.

He considered his smile to be at least handsome, if not dashing.

Whenever a certain red-haired pepperpot got angry, she couldn't bear to hit his handsome face after seeing his smile.

So why did Hyuga Satoru look at him so strangely?

Satoru hesitated for a moment, then returned a polite but awkward smile.

"So, you're Kakashi's jonin instructor. This is the first time I've heard your name."

And so, the two got to know each other.

"Yes, the war has already broken out. The Hokage was worried you might be in danger in the Land of Grass, so he sent me to assist you."

Minato's face grew serious.

"The Hokage is holding a war council. Since you just returned from the Land of Grass, you have firsthand information. If we hurry, we might make it in time."

"Oh, I forgot to mention."

"I have a forbidden technique called Flying Thunder God, which allows me to instantly return to Konoha. I had to travel here because I didn't have a mark in the Land of Grass."

With that, he grabbed Satoru's arm, giving a quick warning.

"Take a deep breath and get ready."

"Okay."

With a "whoosh," the two disappeared from the grasslands.

Only a gentle breeze remained, causing the grass to sway slightly.

...

It felt like falling from a great height. Satoru landed heavily, stumbling forward as he appeared in a room.

So, this is what spatial travel with Flying Thunder God feels like?

It's a bit like bungee jumping. Good thing my stomach is empty; puking would be embarrassing.

Satoru, with a hint of curiosity, savoured the sensation from earlier.

"Satoru, are you alright?"

"I'm fine."

Seeing Satoru's normal demeanour, Minato was slightly surprised.

Long-distance spatial travel isn't something ordinary people can handle. The first time he used Flying Thunder God, he remembered throwing up for half a day.

Then, his face turned red.

He'd become so accustomed to spatial travel that he'd subconsciously returned to his bedroom, where Kushina's photo albums were scattered on the bed. Satoru was staring intently at them.

"Ah! I'm really sorry!"

Minato rushed over, yanking the covers over the photos.

Satoru couldn't help but click his tongue.

"Satoru, do you need to rest? The Hokage is waiting for you."

Minato asked, blushing.

"No, let's head to the Hokage immediately. War is more important than anything else."

...

Hokage Tower.

Conference Room.

A massive long table stood in the centre, surrounded by Konoha's top brass, all wearing grave expressions.

At the head of the table, Hiruzen Sarutobi, with his hands clasped under his chin, spoke solemnly.

"According to reports from our scouts, Iwagakure's main force has reached the Land of Grass. It seems war is inevitable."

"Hmph! Iwagakure is growing bolder. Have they forgotten the lessons of the Second Great Ninja War?"

The speaker's arm was heavily bandaged, leaving only one eye visible, glinting with a harsh gleam.

It was none other than the Shadow of the Shinobi, Danzo!

"If it were just Iwagakure, we wouldn't be so worried."

Hiruzen took a deep breath.

"According to the latest intelligence, the Third Kazekage of Sunagakure has been missing for some time. The newly appointed Fourth Kazekage, Rasa, has also declared war on Konoha."

"It seems we'll be facing threats from two major ninja villages simultaneously."

The room fell silent at this news.

Facing two major villages at once would be a significant challenge for Konoha.

Just then, the conference room door opened.

Minato entered with a sheepish grin, leading Satoru inside.

"Sorry, I'm late."

"Ah, Minato, you're finally here."

Hiruzen smiled.

"Satoru made it back safely, too? Good. Find a seat."

Minato led Satoru to a seat near the back.

Satoru curiously observed the ninja leaders around the table.

Koharu Utatane, Homura Mitokado, the heads of various ninja clans, and the Sannin, Jiraiya and Tsunade.

Orochimaru noticed Satoru's gaze and gave a slight smile.

Suddenly, Satoru sensed a cold, piercing stare.

Turning his head, he saw Danzo.

This should be his first meeting with the infamous Shadow, right?

Satoru thought to himself.

Danzo's gaze wasn't friendly; it was more like he was evaluating and scrutinizing.

He hadn't approached Satoru before, probably due to his status as a branch member of the Hyuga clan. Who knew what he was plotting now?

Satoru returned a cold stare.

In the past, he might have worried about Danzo's influence.

But now, with his electromagnetic force at Level 4, if Danzo overstepped, Satoru wouldn't hesitate to build a Golden Gate Bridge.

After all, the Shadow was good at blowing up bridges.

Hiruzen continued his explanation, his expression troubled.

Minato discussed his encounters in the Land of Lightning.

He'd faced the brothers A and B from Kumogakure multiple times before being recalled due to the approaching Iwa ninja army.

From this, it seemed that besides Kirigakure, which was still out of the picture, the other three villages were already involved.

Satoru's expression grew strange.

Unexpectedly, his good friend Rasa became the Kazekage after Satoru assisted him in the black market, just as the Third Kazekage was killed by Sasori.

Was Rasa's luck good or bad?

With the situation analyzed, Hiruzen began issuing orders.

"In the Iwa ninja battlefield, Danzo and Jiraiya will lead 4,000 ninjas. Orochimaru, you'll handle the Suna ninja battlefield with 3,000 ninjas. Tsunade, as the medical team captain, will manage support."

The named ninjas responded steadily, except for Tsunade, who looked weary and gave a weak reply.

Hiruzen sighed inwardly.

Tsunade's hemophobia from the Second Great Ninja War hadn't healed. She could only handle support roles now.

Such top-tier combat power couldn't be utilized.

Additionally, fewer ninjas were assigned to the Suna battlefield.

Hiruzen took a deep breath, his gaze shifting to Minato and Satoru.

"Minato, you'll assist Satoru in the Suna battlefield for now. I'll send others to the Land of Lightning."

"Understood." Though unsure of the Hokage's intentions, Minato replied firmly.

Satoru's eyes brightened.

Hiruzen specifically sent both him and Minato to the Suna battlefield, indicating a desire for them to work together.

Flying Thunder God and Magnetic Storm Sniper combo?

Can he achieve infinite flash?

Satoru's lips curved slightly.

It was time to find a way to master the Flying Thunder God.
