Capítulo 143: The Enchanted Book

"A civil war inside your Kingdom sounds like great news." Ava tightened the belt of her robe around her body. "But it looks like you already knew that." At first, she was disappointed that Matthew didn't tell her anything. 

Maybe she had expected too much from him.

But then she realized that the Lycan's affairs didn't really concern her. And she was keeping her own secrets too. She couldn't really blame him if he wouldn't trust her with that kind of information… yet.

"I was hoping it would happen."

"You were hoping?" She turned towards him, her eyebrows lifted with questions and confusion.

"We need it to happen. Keeps the Lycans busy."

"A King who hates his people." Ava sang.

"I am no King. And they are not my people."

Ava shrugged in response. Then she turned her attention toward the bright moon that illuminated the forest behind the mansion. 

"They want to take advantage of it. They want to take Lycans."
