The night was dark.

The moonlight hardly served to prove its existence.

The stars were hidden by clouds.

The forest was dark and sinister, the branches of the trees were moved slightly at a constant rhythm by the breeze of that moment.

On this dark night, two figures were walking on a lonely path towards the capital of the Kingdom of Lothal.

This was the road that connected Riverheim with Crownheil, the capital of the Kingdom of Lothal, also known as the royal road, but reflecting a contradiction with the name, this was a simple dirt road that crossed large portions of forests and desolate areas with little or no civilization.

The Royal Road ran from Riverland, passed through Eastland, reached Crownland, continued to Nordland, and ended at the border with the High Council.

Both figures who walked this shadowy path did not carry some form of illumination, reflecting the ability to see in the deep darkness.
