"What can you offer me," Haru said. Which came as a surprise to everyone there apart from Master Chu who had foreseen something like this happening.

"Excuse me?" The old man asked.

"You heard me correctly. What will you offer me in return for becoming your student?" Haru grinned widely. A man of his stature surely had quite a few nice things he could trade in return for picking up a once-in-a-lifetime student.
