Ellie
Spending time with River had made Ellie nervous at first. He was always polite and never did anything to make her feel uncomfortable. The more time they spent together, the more at ease she felt, but he was certainly keeping his distance, and she wasn’t sure why.
It had been about a week since she’d started walking again and had gone outside. The healer had told her that she was ready to start training again, and River had volunteered to help her with that as well. She was dressed in workout clothes for the first time since before the attack, and while she was nervous about what might happen when she started exercising again, it was nice to be back in something that made her comfortable. She’d never been one for lounging around.
River knocked on her door at 10:00 sharp, which was exactly when she’d been expecting him. She was fine to walk on her own, so she went over and opened the door, giving him a smile.
