Ellie
It was no secret to her that River was fond of the mountains. She hadn’t realized, though, that he actually had a small retreat nestled in the woods near his favorite overlook. When he’d suggested they spend their wedding night there, Ellie had thought that would be perfect. She definitely didn’t want them to spend their first night together in the same house with her father or his mother, and while Michael had provided some alternatives, like that he could spend the night in one of the cabins, this was better.
They arrived at the cabin late that evening after several hours of dancing, dining, and visiting with their friends. Ellie’s feet were sore from her heels, and her back was tired from standing so much, but she had a feeling that once they got inside, she wouldn’t be so tired anymore.
