Dara knew and could feel that a storm was coming, and he wasn't going to hole up within the tribe or wait for it to arrive. He would prepare and goo find that storm before it hits and if he can't he would simply await its arrival with utmost and complete preparation.

After a few more discussions and answering the elders questions, Dara finally revealed the three meridian opening techniques to the Elders. He explained the pattern behind it which simply showed them that there were two Principal meridian channels at the nodes of each Great meridian channel.
