Capítulo 23: A Crowned Dragons Burden
"Dragon Sage Secret Art: Ash Apocalypse!!"
As countless amount of ash started to surrounded the battlefield he slowly remembers what happened during the fight with Moyasu.
"So she can also use that spell as well..." Ryūsei muttered in thought as he slowly walks toward Violet holding his sword in his left hand.
"Ash Dragon Blizzard Gale" Violet casted a spell releasing a tremendous amount of ash from her mouth and it quickly surrounds Ryūsei.
"Crap!! I let my guard down-" Ryūsei muttered but the ash that surrounded him suddenly exploded freezing the area around him.
"My name is Violet Ryūgū, The Synthesis Sorceress!!" Violet happily said as multiple explosion occurred freezing most of the surrounding area.
"That should do it..." Violet sighed in relief.
"Ryūsei Ryūgū, You're one of the toughest opponent I faced" Violet happily said as she stares at the ice trapping Ryūsei.
"Strange.... He reminds me of-" Violet added but she then notices the ice around her started to glow white causing an explosion knocking her back.
"That was a close one-" Ryūsei sighed in relief but Violet suddenly appeared in front of him .
"Ice Dragon Hellfire Breath!!" Violet casted a spell and a tremendous amount of fire came out of her mouth.
As the fire continues to burn the surrounding it passes through the buildings, trees and other obstacles that were burned froze instantly.
The tremendous fire blast hits Ryūsei freezing the environment around him but luckily he manages to break the ice.
"Damn it, She's just too strong and I've only got 3 minutes left before round one ends....." Ryūsei muttered in thought.
"Ryūsei Ryūgū, Your resistance to the cold is beyond expectation." Violet stated.
"Your resistance is far beyond of a S-Rank Ice-based Elementalist and yet you're not even an Ice-based Elementalist." Violet added.
"I should say the same to you" Ryūsei replied.
"No wonder you're a Gādian" Ryūsei added.
"There are only about 2 minutes left" Violet stated.
"Let's finish this once and for all" Violet added.
"Meteor Dragon Photon Blade!!" Ryūsei casted a spell and a sword made of Meteor Dragon energy appeared in his hand.
"Sorcerery Dragon Synergy Blade" Violet then casted a spell and a sword made of Sorcerery Dragon energy appeared in her hand.
"Looks like I finally made you use your Elemental Art" Ryūsei happily said.
Ryūsei then activates his ability enhancing the blade he is holding in his right hand causing a mysterious white aura to surrounded the blade.
Ryūsei and Violet both then launched their assault as they dash forward and their blades clashed with every strike the destroying the surrounding area around them.
"Fire Dragon Blizzard Breath!!" Violet casted a spell and a tremendous blast made of Ice Dragon and Fire Dragon energy was released from her mouth heading straight for Ryūsei.
"Meteor Dragon Lightedge Ray!!!" Ryūsei then casted a spell releasing a tremendous blast made of Meteor Dragon energy was released heading straight for Violet.
The two spells collide with one another creating a devastating explosion destroying the entire surrounding.
With the explosion taking place the time for the first round has run out and with that the battle has ended and the first round was over.
The Elementalist who were spectating were curious of the outcome between Ryūsei the F-Rank Elementalist and Violet the Synthesis Sorceress.
The smoke from the explosion begins to clear up shocking everyone from the outcome of the fight.
Both Violet and Ryūsei were still standing up from the explosion with wounds around their body.
"Father, Is Ryūsei gonna be alright???" The little girl Meisai asked.
"He'll be alright" Akanishi happily replied.
"Ryūsei's really something isn't he dad" Mizūmi teased.
"I'd say to think he took on Violet all alone, He really is something." Nendo happily replied.
With the conclusion of the first round over all the Elementalist in the battlefield were teleported out and were teleported back to Arashi's Arena where King Yogan was waiting for them at the stage.
"That was an amazing show you all displayed, I'd like to congratulate each of you for doing your best in the Grand Shōtotsu." King Yogan happily said.
"Further more the points you've all computed are now gathered and recorded" King Yogan added.
"But sadly I must say, Do to certain events only 9 Chīma's can move on to the second round" King Yogan sadly said shocking everyone in the Arena.
"Wait only 9??? I thought there were 16 slots" Yuki muttered as she was shocked hearing.
"Something must've happen..." Shizen replied.
"I mean even dad was force to a sudden change of rules" He added.
"As you see from the screen, These are Chīma's who'll move on to the second round" King Yogan stated and a holographic projection was shown showing the names of the participants who passed the first round.

"Congratulations to these Chīma's who'll move on to the second round" King Yogan happily said.
"No way..." Yuki muttered as she saw the point differences between the contestants.
"The point difference....between us and..." Shizen muttered but before he can continue talking he was interrupted by King Yogan.
"Now then the second round will be held 3 days from now to give the Chīma's time to prepare and rethink there strategies" King Yogan stated.
"The second round shall be a Chīma vs Chīma match, Of course like the first round there will be also obstacles ahead as terrain advantage will also play a key role in this round" King Yogan added.
"As for the Chīma's you'll be up against, The Sage Council has already decided that the first place winner in the first round won't participate while the remaining Chīma's will draw lots." King Yogan added.
"Now then go and rest up, rethink and reconnect the Grand Shōtotsu shall be continued 3 days from now" King Yogan happily said as Day 1 of the Grand Shōtotsu has come to an end.
After a while Ryūsei, Yuki and the others regrouped with Ryūshi, Jikan and Catherine who were waiting in the spectators area.
"Congratulations on making it to the second round" Catherine happily said but she notices something is wrong with them.
"Thanks... Catherine" Yuki replied with a sad tone
"Did something happen?" Ryūshi asked.
"You look like someone just died or something" Ryūshi added.
"The Elementalist.... The one who got first place.... his points were....." Yuki muttered.
"It doesn't make any sense...!!!" Kasai pissedly said letting some of his frustrations out.
"How come his was so high..." Kasai asked.
"Oh you didn't know what happened huh?" Jikan asked.
"Why what happened??" Shizen asked.
"The Elementalist who was in first place, Kūge Ryū. He took out almost all of the other Chīma's in the Grand Shōtotsu" Ryūshi replied shocking everyone.
"Wait he took out almost all of the Chīmas??!!" Ryūsei asked as it was hard to believe what he was hearing just now.
"Unfortunately yes and worst of all he didn't even use his Elemental Art once" Ryūshi replied.
"He only resorted to basic hand to hand combat" Ryūshi added.
"Can you excuse me I need some time to be alone..." Ryūsei muttered as he then leaves the room.
"Is Grandpa going to be okay???" Catherine concernly asked.
"Don't worry your grandpa will be alright, He's just frustrated that's all" Yuki replied.
"Just let him cool down a little bit" She added showing a smile on her face.
"Come on let's go back to the castle, I want to get some rest first" Shizen stated.
"Yeah we better prepare for the Grand Shōtotsu like really prepare." Shadow replied.
"You all go ahead I'll accompany Ryūsei for a bit" Ryūshi replied as he then leaves following Ryūsei.
Yuki and the other Dragon Sages return to the castle while Ryūshi on the other hand followed Ryūsei and after a while of following him they arrived at the park.
Ryūsei then sat down sat down on the grass as he watches the other kids play at the lake.
"Hey are you alright??" Ryūshi asked as he slowly sat down near Ryūsei.
"Oh.... hey Ryūshi....." Ryūsei replied.
"What're you doing here??..." Ryūsei asked.
"I was just patrolling around the area then I noticed you were sitting there all alone with a sad look on your face" Ryūshi replied.
"Is there something bothering you??" Ryūshi asked.
"I'll gladly listen if you need someone to talk too" Ryūshi added.
"What kind of Grand Elementalist am I..." Ryūsei muttered.
"I can't even defeat a Dragon Sage and I'm supposed to be the one to defeat Quintela...." Ryūsei added.
"I'm so weak... Am I supposed to be the one who'll protect the Elemental World" Ryūsei asked.
"I never said you were the only one to defeat Quintela" Ryūshi replied.
"I specifically said the Twilight Faith will be the ones to defeat Quintela" Ryūshi added confusing Ryūsei.
"What do you mean Ryūshi?" Ryūsei asked.
"I am the Twilight Faith ain't I? So that means I'm the one who's gonna defeat Quintela" Ryūsei added.
"What I mean is stop trying to do everything all on your own" Ryūshi replied.
"Have someone who you can rely on especially in times of need" Ryūshi happily said.
"Have someone who I can rely on..." Ryūsei muttered.
"It's true that you'll play a major role in ending Quintela's reign but that doesn't mean you're the only one who has to do it" Ryūshi replied.
"The burden your carrying is heavy and I know that the pressure on you is tough but have someone to share the same burden you're carrying" Ryūshi happily said.
"But we're a Crowned Dragon....." Ryūsei muttered.
"We're supposed to carry this great burden..." Ryūsei added.
"We're the only Elementalist who everyone relies on... We're the ones who're supposed to do everything to protect the Elemental World" Ryūsei added.
"That maybe true" Ryūshi happily said with a smile on his face.
"People do rely on us Crown Dragons, but we Crowned Dragons also have Elementalist who we can rely on" Ryūshi replied.
"Including you Ryūshi??" Ryūsei asked.
"Of course, Me, Your Grandfather Arashi, Faith Yin and even Akashino" Ryūshi happily said.
"We all had people who we rely on in the times of need" Ryūshi added.
"Wait even Akashino?!" Ryūsei asked as he was shocked of what he just heard.
"Surprised???" Ryūshi happily teased.
"Yes even Akashino relied on every Elementalist who participated in the war against Quintela a long time ago." Ryūshi added.
"Now Ryūsei let me ask you this..." Ryūshi muttered.
"Do you have someone who you can rely on??" Ryūshi happily asked.
