Capítulo 24: 24: Children's rights
The family is rejoicing and a woman by the name of Anna who owns an orphanage in Mable's village, comes to the house with tears in her eyes and throws herself to the floor," Mable my child, please help me,my orphanage and children will be left in the Streets"
Mable helps Anna off the floor, offers her a seat,Mira gives her a glass of water. Mable then asks her to explain and she does that, " the minister's son... his name is Anthony, he wants to demolish the orphanage building and build a bar and he doesn't intend to compensate us or give us another land for replacement, and we have nowhere to go"
Mable tells the woman not to worry, to go home and that she will handle everything. Mable takes Mira with to the minister's son's office to settle scores. They reach the office and try to talk to him but he turns out to be a rude person.
Mira shows him she can be rude as well," listen here you brainless man, if you don't cooperate with us then you will pay trust me"
Mable gives the man a piece of advice," I am the ruler of this village, you must have heard of me,I hate to introduce myself but for the sake of a stranger I have to do it all over again, you very well know that land does not belong to you so leave it or hell will be let loose"
Anthony makes it clear that he won't let go of the property," I won't leave the land because it is worth millions, why don't you stay out of my way,because you are playing with fire"
Mira and Mable laugh out loud at his statement and Mable mocks him, " you are crazy...no seriously you are nuts...you think am intimidated by your words hahaha... now listen bold head, I have been playing with fire since childhood, you call yourself fire...I am water and I will put you off"
Mira and Mable leave the office. The girls' words leave Anthony thinking if he should take their warnings seriously. Mira carries out an investigation about Anthony and is shocked to find out he has a criminal record. She quickly goes to Mable and tells her everything. They come up with a plan to threaten him and also a backup plan in case the first one fails. They go to his office and Mira starts to threaten him, " good morning,we have a surprise for you, we know you killed someone just to get a government position and we have the evidence, if you don't want us to expose you, withdraw from this now"
Anthony promises to withdraw and the ladies leave his office.
However, Anthony outsmarts the girls,he goes to the police and tells them he killed a man but not intentionally, out of self defense. The police pardon him and withdraw the case. When the girls go back to Anthony's office to ask him about the deal, they find out he out smarted them both and they have no choice than to use the other plan. Mable takes out the gun and points it at Anthony, on the other hand, Mira brings out a pen and the withdrawal papers asking him to sign, Anthony refuses to do it and thus angers Mable even more," I am going to lose it! first we kindly asked you to leave the property but you outsmarted us,we are kindly asking you to sign and you won't do it alright then, prepare to be amazed "
Mable shoots Anthony on his left leg as well as His right, been in so much pain, Anthony quickly signs the withdrawal papers. Mable then reminds Anthony of the warning she gave him, " I hate to be violence,and hurting people but you forced me to do it, now do you remember what I told you, you said you were the fire,I told you I was the water and that I would put you off, well I did just that,good bye"
The ladies go back to the orphanage and give Anna the good news. Anna and the kids celebrate Mable and Mira as they feast together.
