Capítulo 107: Nightmare

An unreadable expression flashed across his face as he pondered on the situation.

He didn't know what he felt for his wife at the moment, whether pity or anger; because he had warned them on several occasions to stay away from Kathleen but they wouldn't heed to any of his warnings.

His wife whom he believed should have known better foolishly got herself entangled in this mess.

Whether she was guilty or not, with the contractor confessing, he knew it would be difficult to prove her innocence.

"Can she be released on bail since she has not yet been proven guilty?" Mr Taylor spoke since it appeared his client was not saying anything.

"As a lawyer, you should be aware of the import of what she's been accused of. Bail cannot be granted easily. She has to remain in police custody until the hearing of the case."

"I would advise you to go and do your homework and Mr Beazell, you should find a way to make the lady in question drop her charges."
