𝔽𝕚𝕫𝕫𝕝𝕖! (Fizzle!)
The hissing sound of water falling into the basin was extremely clear sounding due to the whole place being so quiet.
Looking around, it was certain that this place was a restroom. Multiple mirrors and sinks could be seen embedded in the wall.
The faucet was turned sideways to stop the water from flowing out, causing the hissing sound to disappear together with the water.
"Haaa....."
Erik opened his mouth and let out a deep breath, relaxing his body as he looked towards his right palm. Unlike usual, he wasn't wearing his gloves to cover his palms, his black fingernails and pale skin resembled that of a vampire.
Remembering his fight with Juumonji Daichi, he let out a sigh.
It has been a few weeks since the attack on the [Juumonji Party]. After the attackers were defeated by the magicians, the Juumonji clan along with the military arrived at the scene to assist the surviving guests into seeking treatment from the medics.
Quite a few of them were injured by the Anti-magic bullets and the broken debris of the collapsed ceiling.
Unfortunately, even more, were outright killed in the attack. Overall the whole incident was a major blow to the [Juumonji clan] who were one of the [Ten-Masters Clan].
The message behind this attack was as clear as the morning sky. The criminal syndicate named, [The 7-Kings] made the message crystal clear when they decided to attack the Juumonji clan on the foundation day of their clan.
'You aren't as majestic or powerful, you think you are...today we beat you and slaughtered your men like pigs on the foundation day of your clan...'
'We would only grow stronger....'
An outright challenge to one of the [Ten-Masters Clan], what made this even worse was the fact that Katsuto was considerably injured during his fight against Daichi.
He had been hospitalized for 3-weeks to recover from all the damage he sustained when his former friend decided to pull off a suicidal attack.
Erik had even created fake injuries over his body to match the story he told to the authorities. The cameras were obviously taken care of by Mei who had the control room within her palms, so the authorities couldn't see the recording of his and Katsuto's fight against the former Juumonji clan member.
'Daichi had tried to use some kind of forbidden magic but Katsuto forcefully suppressed the incoming attack, sustaining heavy injuries during the whole process while Erik sustained some light injuries over his arms.
Due to "sustaining" light injuries, Erik was allowed to attend his high school after a week's rest.
He quickly busied himself with management work, so to avoid people asking him what happened back then, the day when they were attacked by a criminal syndicate.
'I am surprised by the sheer amount of time people have to pester others....sigh!'
Erik had obviously used [Time Magic:-Dust] to kill Daichi before the latter could activate his forbidden magic, there wasn't really much of a choice, Erik had to stop the magic at all cost otherwise everyone would have died from the aftermath of Daichi's attack, should he had succeeded.
Hiding his abilities seemed to be working in Erik's favour, due to Erik "sustaining" injuries, the Saltzman Empire finally had a reason to step in the internal matters of the military and even the Ten-Master's clan.
Mei had requested a meeting with Major Kazama and managed to get the military to inform the Saltzman family of any and all information they have or may get, concerning criminal syndicates.
The Saltzman Empire will fund a few of Military projects while the Saltzman family would have the permission to get control over the plans concerning criminal syndicates.
This massively increased the information database Erik used to have, now he was able to monitor those independent variables that could prove to be a problem to his plans.
'Everything seems to be going good, the [Blanche] has already started to brainwash the students, according to the plot, in two years Tatsuya would put an end to their Japanese branch but until then, I will collect the location of their other hideouts and connections...'
Having a criminal syndicate interacting with the students was dangerous for the latter yet Erik couldn't care less about that, his focus was of finding out the various hideouts of the syndicate and see if he could find some useful information of its mother syndicate, [No Head Dragon].
In other words, he would allow the syndicate to grow its influence within the school and will not confront the terrorists until he had found out everything he could access.
Erik looked into the mirror, his chartreuse phosphorescent eyes shinning lightly.
'Once they have outlived their usefulness, I will eradicate them from the roots along with every single one of their hide-outs...'
'This aside, there is also the Nine-School Competition happening in a few weeks time, I hope Juumonji joins us before the registration...'
Erik moves towards the dryer and drys his hands before exiting the Student-Council Restroom.
Entering the main room, he looks towards the table, his gloves neatly placed on his station. The whole place was currently empty because the members of the [Student Council committee], had gone to register for the upcoming [Nine-School Competition] as 1st-year students.
He sits down on the chair and wears his gloves before opening the [Transportation form Registration], he had to book a bus through which the participants would travel to the grand arena.

The door to the Student Council Room was opened as Suzune stepped inside and closed the door behind her, holding a bag in her left hand.
She was a bit surprised seeing someone was already within the room but after recognizing Erik, she immediately understood the situation.
"How have you been, Erik-san?.....'
One could see the concern within Suzune's voice when she asked Erik about his well-being, she had seen the news about the hotel being attacked, and Erik sustaining injuries.
As her only friend, she was worried if Erik was truly ok and wasn't just pushing himself to do all the registration work.
"I have been fine, Su-chan. Just finishing the [Bus Registration form], the list of participants will be out soon as the Student Council has already decided who will be participating in the Newcomer's division...."
Erik just smiled a little towards Suzune before adopting his usually calm countenance, he was absolutely fine and appreciated her concern.
"How are your injuries?....."
"All healed, I wasn't heavily injured so after a few weeks of rest and [Healing-Magic], I am totally fine..."
"Hmm.....let me make some tea for you, it will help you relax....."
"Sure, I would love that....."
Suzune moved towards the machine, talking out some milk and tea leaves from her bag, she starts making tea while Erik once again turns back to doing his work.
"Say, Su-chan? Will you calibrate my secondary C.A.D for me?..."
"Huh? You want me to calibrate your C.A.D?..."
"Yes, you see my primary C.A.D is my pocket watch but I wouldn't be able to effectively use it in the upcoming tournament....."
"I am participating in [Icicle destruction] and [Monolith Code] as a member of the [Newcomer's division], for the latter event, two more places are yet to be filled but for the former, I will be participating in that event."
"Now, for [Icicle Destruction], I can use my primary C.A.D without any problem but for the [Monolith Code], I would require a C.A.D, specially calibrated for battle..."
"I am aware of your genius in calibration, and would like you to be my personal engineer throughout the tournament....."
"What do you say....?"
"I-I..., you should choose someone more skilled for doing something so delicate and important as calibration of a C.A.D, I don't think I can do it perfectly..."
"Don't sell yourself short Su-Chan, I have confidence in your skills....."
"....ok."
