"Do you think I brought you here just for a meal?"

Blanche's face suddenly drained of color, as if some terrifying event was looming.

"I've already told you, Alan and I are over."

"That's not what I've seen. You wouldn't want to be seen pulling and tugging at each other in public, would you? Come on, I've made a reservation; let's go inside."

Blanche felt she had no choice but to brace herself and go in.

Before her lay a feast of delicacies, but Blanche had no appetite at all. She never expected him to show up; although she had thought about this day, she never truly believed it would happen...

Suppressing the turmoil in her heart, she said, "I need to use the restroom; I'll be back in a moment."

The man didn't seem worried about her escaping. Once in the restroom, Blanche splashed some water on her face and tried to gather her thoughts on how to handle the situation when she suddenly spotted Isabella.
