As Lu Mengjie was taken back to her room, Cecilia was walking beside her.

"Everything will be fine soon," she whispered.

Lu Mengjie blinked a few times when Cecilia's words entered her ears. She looked at her in confusion.

Without looking back at her, Cecilia continued with a hushed tone, "be careful, we're being watched."

At first, Lu Mengjie was puzzled by what she was spouting but she soon realized what the other woman meant by the time she entered her bedroom.

Cecilia stood by the door. With a cold gaze, she opened her mouth and said, "Eat up, l before the food gets cold. Even if it does, I will not be replacing it. If you don't like the food, then throw it in the bathroom."

The woman in front of her was so different than when she first saw her. Lu Mengjie was not in the mood to argue with her so after she was left alone in the room, she walked towards the coffee table and stared at the food. Dumplings and a glass of water.
