Queen Marlena came down from the carriage. The guards were entering a house. She wondered why they have stopped when the palace was a few miles away.
"We will stay here tonight," Prince Edward told her. He was not exhausted after the long journey. She who sat in the comfort of a carriage was tired.
"Why?" queen Marlena grabbed the hems of her dress and followed him. They entered the house and she was surprised that it turned out to be an inn. "why don't we go to the palace?"
"You look tired, your highness," he said, climbing the stairs.
She stopped. Why did he care? They should have just gone to the palace. She looked around and saw the guards sitting next to the fire. Queen Marlena sighed. They were going to spend the night in the house. Prince Edward will be with them instead of her.
"Come, queen Marlena," he said. "your room is upstairs."
