'How is the function going? Enjoying yourself?'

Her lips stretched into a thin line. She wanted to smile but she couldn't.

'Yeah, it's cool. How are you doing?' she typed back.

'...Are you sure? If you are bored, you can sneak out and we can hang out together.'

She smiled, understanding her concern.

'Thanks, but I am really enjoying myself here. The masquerade party is really interesting, haha.'

They chatted a bit more and Chow Mey let it go. A minute later, she received Bai Caishen's text too, whose messages showed similar concerns as Chow Mey.

Meng Rin couldn't help but softly chuckle.
