"I didn't know you and Anton were that close. I'm not putting malice on it, don't misunderstand. It just shows I have a lot of things to know about you."

Fil walked slower, head turned at Marcus. Her lips curled up a little, taking a cute little step toward him, and hooked her arm around his. Her action made his brows rise in surprise. 

"What are you doing?" he asked, stopping in his tracks. "Are you drunk?"

"What do you think?" she playfully smirked, leaning her side closer to him. "Am I drunk?"

Marcus squinted his eyes. "Filomena, are you trying to make me happy?"

"No?" Fil giggled. "I just don't want to hurt you."

"You don't want to hurt me by…?"

"Knowing I won't like you." She grinned while he arched a brow, letting him go just as casually. "I just thought that if I try hard to push you away, you might think of it as a challenge. So, clinging to you just like how your every other girlfriend did might make you cut me off some slack."
