Dai decided to camp out for the night so Yu could get used to her new scar. Her beautiful skin being marred by the scar made Dai feel guilty because he was supposed to protect Yu, not the otherway around! He growled to himself and when Yu gazed at him, he gave her a sad expression. "I'm sorry." He told her, feeling guilty.
Yu knew why Dai felt guilty and she hated it. She knew that he blamed himself for her getting hurt. "Don't blame yourself. I'm the idiot that went and tried to get myself killed." Yu tells Dai.
"But, you were trying to protect me! That's commendable, but when that bastard stabbed you, I got angry." Dai tells Yu. Yu smiled sadly at Dai.
"Don't you wish that I was a demon alongside you, so I won't die an early death?" Yu asked. Dai was gaping at Yu in shock.
"I haven't really thought about that. It's your decision whether you stay with me forever as a human or a demon." Dai gave his honest answer to Yu. But, Dai could see that Yu wouldn't be a demon, instead she would be an angel. A demon and an angel together in marriage was impossible, but now that Dai has his woman, he could see that it wasn't all impossible.
He found his wife in the form of the race stated to hate demons, humans. She wasn't like most humans. She was kind, sweet and selfless. She nearly sacrificed herself for his sake and he was shocked at that. He didn't know that the woman would just throw her own life away for him, a demon that could and will, wage war on his enemies.
A demon that could wage war has a kind woman as his wife. He wonder what would have happened if he had rejected her? He didn't want to know what would have happened to her had he rejected her. She probably would have been killed, considering the fact that the commander didn't care about her. He thought. He then felt sick to his stomach. He then vomited up the food that he had just ate, worrying Yu. "Dai!" She cried out to him, running towards him.
She put herself beside him and she rubbed his back while whispering comforting words to him. "It's alright, I'm safe and with you now." She reminds him.
"Yeah, but, had I rejected to have you, you would have been killed." Dai was horrified by this result, yet he was glad that he did accepted her as his wife. He wouldn't say that he love her, but he can say that he cares for her a lot. Yu thought the same of Dai.
As Dai gazed upon Yu, he was reminded that his wife is an angel in human form. And, he loved that about her.
