Capítulo 110: Roxana Looks Odd

"Roxana?" 

Damian called out her name again, but the figure in front of him did not respond. She just lowered her head and stood still without wanting to glance at Damian.

He finally approached her slowly because he felt something was wrong with her. The silver ring on her hand darkened increasingly, indicating that Roxana was still in danger despite the fact that he already saw her before him.

When Damian was near Roxana, he smelled a strange scent emanating from her body. It reminded him of the scent of blood and ashes mixed together. Without thinking further, Damian quickly pulled Roxana's long hair so that he could see her face.

To his surprise, he was met with Roxana's blank stare. Her pupils became small, and her irises slowly turned white. Damian thought perhaps the woman before him was not his Duchess, but he could not have misrecognized his contractor.

"Roxana! Wake up!" Damian patted Roxana's cheeks repeatedly. "What happened to you?!"
