Capítulo 42: CONFUSION

"I don't understand. You sent me a message three days ago when you went on that business trip of yours. The message was right here. I swear. It was right here. Angeline—" I sat up, trying to explain to him. I hated it when I was accused of things I didn't do.

"Who the fuck is Angeline, Amy? I never hired a bodyguard. Why would I? I already have dozens of them surrounding the mansion as we speak." His logic sounded reasonable. He was right. He didn't need to hire more bodyguards considering the number he had. Now that I thought of it, I felt stupid.

"What do you mean you didn't hire a bodyguard? Why then was Angeline here?" I asked again, refusing to accept that I had been followed by a creep for three days.

"For the last time, I don't know who Evangeline is." he said clearly. No matter how heated our argument seemed, he never raised his voice at me. He remained calm as he responded. I was the one bursting out with different emotions.
