Valier POV:
'Child Of Destruction.'
It was a title that I had never heard of, a title that I had never been called, nor one that had been mentioned in the novel.
"First things first, you're not a Pendragon, not by blood at least. Though, Reinhardt did put that other kid's heart into you or whatever so you could argue you are. I really don't know what he was trying to do with that shitty little Rune of his."
I looked at her, I still hadn't dispelled my blades, I made them levitate and I aimed them all at her. I didn't like where this conversation was going.
'Valier, listen to her, I'm curious about what she knows and how true it is.'
Godsbane spoke, he seemed to have some interest and so I decided to humour him.
"Pardon?'
"Oh and that Reinhardt fellow, I'm sure he's your father."
I looked at her, time froze for a moment and I was unable to use Cursed Energy and my blades crumbled to dust.
"He's my what..? Don't lie, there's no fucking way he's my dad. Wait actually, that would make sense..?"
"Yes there is, although he isn't actually aware of it. But anyway, I don't know the whole story nor do I care that much, but you are a descendant of The House Of Interitus, and therefore, are a Child Of Destruction."
I looked at her for a moment, considering what I should say.
"So, why did you tell me? There's nothing that you gain from telling me this."
She smiled very slightly before speaking.
"I don't want a parent and child to possibly end up killing each other without even knowing the situation. If even after knowing the situation should you decide to go after him and avenge the child that died at his hands, then do so. But I wanted to at least tell you."
While she was saying that, I realised something. He was still alive, I was honestly hoping that he was dead.
"He's alive? He survived after all that?"
"Of course he did, and he's much stronger than when you fought him. When you fought him, he wasn't fully recovered from the injuries he suffered from the Archduke. But, a few months back, he was able to awaken his 'True Name' and was able finally able to heal from the injuries he had suffered."
Then, it all 'clicked.' When I first saw him, I instinctively knew him to be strong. I even compared him to my past self, but, if I'm being honest, the power he used against me didn't even come close to my old self's. I wondered if my intuition made me see his full power rather than what he had access to?
Well I supposed it didn't matter, I was gonna kill him regardless.
"Where is he?"
"Pardon?"
"I said where is he?"
The principal looked at me as if I was a fucking idiot. She almost started laughing, but she walked up to me and placed a hand on my shoulder.
"You want to fight him? That thing isn't something you can beat; he's on an entirely different level. Previously, his Demonic Seed wasn't even functioning due to Holy Magic shredding his body apart and wreaking havoc in him. He's way stronger than you could imagine, he even overpowered me."
She moved her hand and pulled down her shirt's collar slightly, revealing a large scar, it looked like something had gone straight through her throat. It wasn't some sword, a spear, or an arrow wound. It was a wound made from a hand. Somehow, Reinhardt had not only managed to make contact with her, but he had managed to pierce right through her throat.
It was a ridiculous feat, the principal was a monster in her own right, but Reinhardt seemed to have manhandled her. Though I suppose that makes him worthy to be my father.
"You're telling me my dad did that to you? That's... impres- I mean that's horrible, how could he?"
"I know right? I'm never fighting him again. Oh, and I should also warn you, his Rune's power has also increased, that man's in a different dimension compared to you. You won't even come close to him, perhaps with your 'sister' you might come close. She has both a ridiculous Rune and an Art. But if I you don't mind telling me, why would you want to kill your actual father? Wouldn't it make more sense to make up with him and get him on your side?"
"Well maybe, but I've thought about it while we talked. And honestly, I don't consider him my father, as far as I'm concerned, I have no blood related family."
"Yeah, now piss off. I'm done talking with you people. I'm sure you know what I'll do to Reinhardt if I see him, so don't get in my way."
Anastasia Gorgos POV:
"Wait I'm not done tal-"
Then, when I was about to stop him, my body couldn't move. It refused to obey me, I couldn't use Mana, my Mana Art, or even my Demonic Physique. It was as if Valier's request to not get in his way took precedence over the commands I was attempting to issue to my body. My veins popped as I tried to move, but it didn't work.
However, he stopped and spoke.
"What is it? I don't have time, if I want to kill him, I need to get stronger, I'm gonna train."
"If... if you somehow do find him, and if you by some miracle kill him, burn his body. Make sure nothing remains of it."
"I'll consider it."
But just as he was about to leave, he turned around.
"Wait.. you said he was recovering from wounds he received from the Archduke? Don't tell me..."
"Yeah, your father's the one who killed the Archduke."
