Capítulo 68: Baseless Accusation
The reporters who were busy watching and recording the situation also got into their own vehicle and followed the police officers.
At the police station, Mu Feng was placed inside the interrogation room while the police officers sat opposite him.
"I'll make this quick...I suppose you know the reason why you're here"
"No....I don't know why I'm here.....I...I haven't done anything wrong" Mu Feng said angrily.
The police officer brought out a photo and showed it to Mu Feng.
"Do you know her?" the police officer asked.
Mu Feng's eyes widened when he saw the woman. Of course he knew her. This was the woman he killed with a vase four years ago.
How could he forget. Mu Feng started sweating intensely as he looked at her photograph.
"I just asked you a question and you're sweating so much" the police officer said as he smirked.
"No...no....no...I....I....I.... don't know her...." Mu Feng stuttered.
"Are you sure?....take a good look at her.... I'm sure she's very familiar" the police officer said as he drew the picture closet to Mu Feng.
"I said I don't know her.... I've never met her before in my life...let me go" Mu Feng said as his voice was filled with panic. This made the officers suspicious.
" You're here because you murdered this woman.....her name is Wen Ling"
"What baseless accusation is that that?...I just told you... I've never seen this woman before in my life and now you're saying I murdered her?....are you insane?" Mu Feng said angrily trying to conceal the fear in his voice.
"It's not a baseless accusation...we have proof" the police officer said as he showed Mu Feng the video of what happened four years ago.
Mu Feng was stunned. This is the same video he had been looking for.
"That....tha...that isn't me.... I'm not the one" Mu Feng said with a shaky voice.
"Really?...who is it then your twin brother?" the police officer asked.
Mu Feng was about to defend himself when he saw lawyer Sun.
"Stop this interrogation immediately" Lawyer Sun said as he walked towards the three of them.
"You don't have any right to interrogate my client"
"Your client is a suspect in a murder case infact we even have evidence that he's the murderer" the police officer said.
Lawyer Sun argued with the police officers
"You only have a video of what happened four years ago....who knows if that video has been manipulated"
"Manipulated?....this video is real" the officers said.
"According to you. All I care about is my client....if you want to pursue this case then we'll see each other in court but right now...you can't keep my client here and interrogate him" lawyer Sun said firmly.
After arguing with lawyer Sun, the police officers finally let Mu Feng go. Mu Feng walked out if the police station with lawyer Sun by his side.
