Capítulo 14: Chapter 13

Author's Note:

Hi Author-san here, to say that I'm flabbergasted and shocked by the reactions of some of my readers, not liking the route of harem is shock....it kinda feels heart breaking...

Sike! Anyway never mind that, I can never please everybody and even a nutjob like the joker knows about it. So I won't bother, as for some people pointing out that our character chooses girls for their appearances only? Oh sweet summer children, I won't talk much just keep reading as you'll see from his perspective soon enough.

And one more thing y'all, I love each and every one of y'all. For those who are going through hard times know that I'm praying for y'all, so please don't go about and cuss and judge each other here please. Each and everyone's opinions and preference matters.

Woo man, talking all this much is exhausting y'all. Anyway let's get on with the story shall we? Enjoy 😁

 (Homelander's POV)

Standing at the vast window of Vought Tower, I gaze out over the city sprawled beneath me. From up here, it's like looking down on a toy kingdom, everything and everyone so small, so insignificant. The people are just dots, their lives fragile and meaningless.

My reflection in the glass stares back at me—cold, perfection. The image of power and control. But inside, I keep feeling a simmering sense of boredom. The quiet, the order... it's stifling. There's no real threat, no challenge to test my supremacy.

Now that I think about The Seven's latest recruit, that naive girl from Iowa. What's her name again? Annie or something... Ah yes, Starlight.

She's just like all the others—wide-eyed, eager, desperate to make a difference. It's laughable. She doesn't get it. Being a hero isn't about saving people; it's about perception, about power. She's just another pawn, another piece on the board, easily manipulated, easily discarded.

And then there's A-Train. Hahahahahahaha well He's been acting out, going off-script, saving people without permission. Who the hell does he think he is? Does he really believe he can be the hero? That he can be more than just a tool in my glorious design? It's almost amusing, but mostly it's irritating. These people... they're insects. They exist to worship me, to love and adore me, heck even to fear me. A-Train's little moral crisis is not just pointless, it's inconvenient, Ludicrous indeed.

I can't help but smile at the thought of the plan Madeline and I concocted. A-Train's days are numbered. Soon, he'll be nothing more than a little lesson in obedience. It's all so beautifully orchestrated. His downfall will reinforce my position, remind everyone of who truly holds all the power. The anticipation sends a thrill down my spine.

The soft ding of the elevator breaks my reverie. I don't turn around; I don't need to. I can hear the heartbeat of the person stepping out, smell the faint mix of cologne and fear. Ahhh It's... very pleasing.

"Come in," I say, keeping my voice smooth, almost welcoming. But there's an edge to it, a promise of consequences for disobedience. I continue watching the city, pretending a disinterest I don't feel. "You must be eager," I add, "to step into the spotlight, to join The Seven."

Finally, I turn to face the newcomer, a hooded figure standing just inside the room, looking nervous. I smile, but it's not a warm smile. It's the smile of a predator. Cold, calculating.

"Listen carefully," I say, my voice dropping to a near silent yet threatening whisper. "There are certain... tasks you need to handle." I gesture to the stack of files on the table. "First, there's a loose end. A-Train has been problematic. Too unpredictable. I need you to remind him of his place." The weight behind 'remind' is clear. This isn't a simple warning. It's a directive. A sentence. An Order.

The figure nods, eyes darting nervously to the files. I watch every move, every flicker of emotion. It's intoxicating, this control. I lean in, voice low and even more dangerous.

"And second," I continue, "retrieve his uniform. Make sure there's... collateral damage. Lots of it. It needs to be convincing. The messier, the better. Do you understand?"

There's a brief silence, thick with tension. "Yes, sir," the figure finally replies, voice steady but tinged with fear.

I chuckle, a sound devoid of warmth. "Good. Very good." I straighten up, turning back to the window, dismissing the figure with a wave. "Now, go on. Do not disappoint me, or else."

As the elevator doors close behind them, sealing the silence, I remain at the window. My smile fades, replaced by a more contemplative expression.

There are always more pieces to move, more plans to set in motion. The game is far from over. I'm always several steps ahead, ready to pivot, to adapt. It's a game of chess, and I'm the only one playing with all the pieces.

The thought of A-Train's downfall fills me with a dark satisfaction. It's not just about removing a problematic teammate; it's about making a statement. To The Seven, to Vought, to the world.

They need to understand the true meaning of power, of control. A-Train's fall will be a spectacle, a perfectly orchestrated performance that will leave the masses reeling. They'll see me not just as a hero, but as a god that I am.

But there's always a risk, a thrill in the unpredictability. What if something goes wrong? It's a tantalizing thought, the possibility of the unexpected.

It could keep me sharp, engaged in a world that very often feels so dull. If anything goes off script, it will just be another chance to show my superiority, to remind everyone why I'm irreplaceable.

I can already picture the headlines, the shocked public. They'll be stunned by the revelation of A-Train's failures, his betrayal.

And I'll be there, the shining beacon of truth and justice, while others crumble around me. It's perfect. A-Train thinks he can challenge the status quo, but he'll just be another pawn. And pawns are meant to be expendable. Disposable even.

As I stand there, surveying my domain, I know that the game is only beginning. The pieces are in place, and I control them all. In this world of gods and monsters, only I will hold the ultimate power. And I will never let them forget it. Hehe Ahahahahahahaha!!!
