Capítulo 2: Visit To The Orphanage Home

Vivian was in the girls’ locker room, applying some light make-up when she suddenly heard her name.

“Vivian! Vivian!” A girl called her name as she rushed to where Vivian sat, breathing hard.

“What is it Rose?” Vivian rolled her eyes.

“Your car... your car has been damaged.” Rose blurted out.

“How can it be damaged?” Vivian stood up and clenched her fists together.

“Jane and her gangs did it.” Rose reported.

“Did you just say Jane?” Vivian’s eyebrows rose.

“Yes, she…” Vivian cut her off with a slap.

“So you mean to say, Jane damaged my car and you just stood there and watched it all happen?” Vivian shot her a cold glare, making Rose shiver on her spot.

“Idiot!” Vivian cursed and stormed out of the locker room.

“Ring! Ring!!” Jane’s phone vibrated in her pocket. She excused herself from her friends and went into a corner to receive the call.

“Hello Mother," Jane spoke.

“Happy birthday, Jane."

“Thanks Mother.” Jane smiled on the phone.

“Do find time and come see me today."

“Is it urgent?”Jane asked as she arched her forehead.

“Kind of."

“Okay Mother," Jane said.

“Make it soon."

“Yes Mother."

“Okay bye."

“Take care,” Jane said and hung up.

“What could it be? Jane wondered as she went to meet up with her friends.

“Guys, I need to get somewhere right now," Jane announced to her friends.

“You know what Carl?” Bella said.

“What?” Carl asked.

“You can go f-ck with your car. I’m gonna be riding with my girlfriend now."

Rose and Dylan busted into laughter while Carl only scoffed.

“Uh no, Bella. I can’t give you a ride right now. I’m going to see Mother,” Jane said.

“Ma’am Caitlin?” Bella asked.

“Yes. You can just ride with Carl instead," Jane said to her.

Bella turned to look at Carl, giving him a poppy eye.

“What? No! I’ll go f-ck with my car instead,” Carl said and Chloe busted into laughter.

“Settle it guys. I’m off. See you later!” Jane waved before walking off.

*

“Hey, hey.” Dylan called from behind as he caught up with Jane.

“Hey.” Jane smiled.

“Do you think something might be wrong? I mean… you’re going to see Ma’am Caitlin."

“Yeah. I don’t know. She just said it’s urgent and I should come see her," Jane replied.

“Mind if I come with you?” Dylan asked.

“Uh…no. I’ll be fine,” Jane said and Dylan’s face dulled.

“Babe?” Jane moved closer to him and gave him a hug.

“I’m just worried, that’s all,” Dylan said.

“I know.” Jane sniffed and disengaged from the hug, walking backwards.

“Tonight! I’ll make it up to you.” She winked and walked off, leaving Dylan whose face was already lit up.

*

Jane was walking towards her car when suddenly; she heard her name.

She recognized the voice instantly and smiled mischievously. She continued to walk, ignoring the person.

“Jane! Jane!! B-tch!” Vivian yelled.

Jane stopped and turned to face her.

“What? What do you want?” Jane asked.

“Do you think you can just do some ruins to my car and go scot free?” Vivian scoffed and folded her arms.

“And why would you think I was the one who did the ruins to your car, hmn?” Jane rolled her eyes at her.

“Come on, there’s a dent on your car. I’m sure you’re not blind.” Vivian gave a mocking smile.

“Well, enough of the chit-chat. I should not be wasting time talking to you. Better get my car fixed else, I’ll make sure they put you on detention for underage driving and causing damage.” Vivian smirked.

Jane busted into laughter.

“How dumb of you. Well, in case you don’t know, everything and anything I do henceforth is legal."

“And how do you prove that?” Vivian asked. “Today makes it eighteen years of me, being alive, duffer.” Jane shook her head.

“And JSYK, I’m gonna be having my party in a bar tonight. Drinks on me. You don’t have to pay for anything, it’s free! See ya tonight!” Jane winked and smiled at her before hopping into the car and zoomed off.

“Party huh? Drinks, huh?” Vivian scoffed. “I’m definitely gonna give you a special party tonight and you’re so going to love it” Vivian smirked and walked away.

***

Jane stopped the car at The Saints Orphanage building. She stepped out of the car and as she walked into the building, kids around the age of 3-10 welcomed her.

“Sister Jane!” They all ran to her excitedly with open hands and she received them warmly.

She bent down to their level and pecked the littlest of them.

“Kids! Get back to work right now." A person commanded and the children scampered away.

“Sister Nancy,” Jane called with a smile on her face.

“It’s been a long time, Sister Jane,” Nancy said as they walked into the home.
