Escreva uma avaliaçãoIt's a different type of wizarding world, where not everything is happy, fluffy with cotton candy growing on trees. The world background has elements of the cultivation world with demonic beasts, overly proud mages due to status, extreme social differences and treatments and the likes. It also has some dark elements that were equally part of our own history (slavery of various races). MC is Colin and I get the feeling that he got summoned by the original host 🤔 He is cautious and chooses the path that best suits him. He doesn't show off nor tries to stand out, but gets dragged out by his enemies lol I don't condone the dark elements present in this story, but I did read it with my brain turned off. It's a fictional fantasy world and I liked how they didn't have wands. If you don't like such elements, perhaps you should skip the story. If you want an OP MC or a MC that acts in a certain way, you might want to also skip this story. If you don't mind how messed up the entire situation is and want to just read a story to unwind and turn your brain off, give this story a go. Maybe you'll like it, maybe you won't.
Slavery starts in around chapter 30. It took an adequate story and a somewhat disappointing MC and made them both trash. Trash as in the story just isn't worth reading. Aside from that it's slow paced with a weak MC that doesn't even seem like an interesting character. I thought this was going to be similar to Becoming A Wizard by Starting with the Mind Closure Technique (a.k.a The Wizard Begins With Occlumency) so I wasn't expecting a lot to begin with. This story makes me mad that I spent any time reading it.
MC seems a bit mentally unstable, too much of the author's puppet and lacking when it comes to being himself. MC is repeatedly inconsistent in what he wants to do and is extremely inefficient and insecure. MC is bad at following up on things properly and the background scheming of the story is just too weird, the MC not taking enough advantage of the world around him and not trusting enough in his cheat, using his cheat very poorly.
I have read the completed story. I think that it is pretty good for the author's first webnovel. Another name is Weird Wizarding World. It is 495 chapters long. It was an easy read and interesting enough that it kept me reading until the end, which is rare. I often find myself not finishing a webnovel because at some point in the story, it gets boring or has a huge cringe moment. When reading this story, I didn't find myself getting stuck. To address some other reviews, yes, this is no Harry Potter. It is a bit more like Throne of Magical Arcana by Cuttlefish, but also quite different, so you get a slight vibe but don't feel it is copycatted. I agree that the story is slow to start, but I don't think drastically so. The MC is extremely cautious, which may make some feel frustrated. There is good reason. He isn't perfect and a bit self-absorped. He starts out feeling disconnected from the world as he was transmigrated. The MC does develop relationships, learns to care a bit more, and becomes super OP. I think that there are some cute moments of character growth. I found the world build to be interesting. Just different enough from a lot of other stories to keep me interested. The story does try to touch on the injustice of social inequality. Cuttlefish did that as well in his stories, though his, of course, is more masterfully written. It's a harsh world, but there is some good, too. What about romance? Well, it isn't until the last chapters that we see any. The author introduces some females who are interested in the MC, but, as stated, there is nothing romantic until towards the end. Until then, everything is purely platonic. The little romance arc is very short and no smut or physical stuff described. See below for a bit of a spoiler (some romance details but no names): * * * * *The MC ends up with 2 of the female characters. Thankfully, there is a lot of history. The relationship is built up slowly over time.
