Capítulo 4: Cuffs and Cowboys

Sam surveyed the armory before him, there was any weapon you could imagine and maybe a few you couldn't. Swords, bows, spears… a weird floppy thing and even a teacup. 'Is a teacup even a weapon? maybe.' At first Sam's eyes were drawn to the swords. Of course they were. Who doesn't like a good sword. But for some reason whenever he was about to choose one his focus shifted somewhere else.

'No. There's no way.' The weapon, if you could even call it a weapon, that kept pulling his attention was a pair of intricate leather bracelets. They were black with silver embellishments and their form seemed to be shifting never staying the same way for very long. 'Am I really going to pick jewelry for my lifelong weapon.'

As fate, or an idiots brain, would have it, he was. He walked forward and pointed at the bracelets.

"Are you sure." Amyon's voice filled his head. "You may not change your mind once you have taken a weapon."

Sam wanted to change his mind, he wanted to pick a cool sword but his body would just not let him. "That is what I want."

Amyon chuckled "Let us see if they will accept you." He handed the bracelets to Sam.

As soon as Sam touched them the bracelets burst into the spectral green flame. This fire seemed to love him. The fire enveloped his arm forming eye catching bracers. The bracer on his right hand continued to move and a blade began to form around his hand.

Amyon saw the bracelets transform in the same way Sam did, but what he saw that Sam did not was Sam's eyes. They had lit up and the flames that were usually contained in the eye had begun to spill out.

"Control them boy." Amyon, the mood killer had struck once again.

Sam knew what to do, he closed both fists tightly and the bracers disappeared, returning to snug cuffs that fit him perfectly.

"Use that weapon wisely, for it could be what leads us to victory." Amyon was more encouraging than usual. Sam was so entranced by his new weapon that he almost missed Amyon's next statement.

"It is time for your name, come." Sam moved forward transfixed by the power in that deep voice. " From this day forth you shall be Azemo, go forth and stain your hands red with the blood of humans."

Being a former human Azemo was a little hesitant in accepting Amyon's words, but who was he to refuse his old pal Amyon. As Azemo accepted his new name he lost part of his humanity for he would never again remember the name he had before the great demon Amyon had summoned him.

"Zaebos what are you waiting for." Amyon was annoyed it seemed like he was a little tired of dealing with others.

"Yes my lord." A silky smooth voice with a hint of southern twang answered Amyon. Seemingly appearing from the shadows a slender figure approached Sam. While Zaebos was not muscular Azemo felt as if he was in the presence of a being so powerful that just by looking at him he was in danger.

Zaebos was tall around six feet six inches in height wearing a grey vest over a black button down shirt with the sleeves rolled up and black pants. He had no weapons anywhere but a certain ominous power rose off of the gloves he wore. However the scariest part of him was his face. He wore a cowboy hat that cast a shadow over his entire face and all that Azemo could see out of the shadow was a sly smile and a red glint where he expected Zaebos' eyes were.

Zaebos approached him and as he walked past a chill ran down Azemo's body and he clearly heard the unspoken command. 'Follow.' Azemo smartly about faced and walked behind the departing Zaebos.

"I do not care what you do today but be prepared for tomorrow." Zaebos voice slinked into Azemo's ears. "We start at dawn." With that the shadows swallowed Zaebos and before Sam could ask a single one of his million questions Zaebos had vanished.

"I will totally know how to find you tomorrow." Azemo muttered, totally not sarcastic at all.

"Fool." Zaebos voice echoed through his head making him shiver.

'Hopefully Agnes will know.' This time Azemo was sure to keep his voice in his head and he hurried back to his room. Or he would have hurried back if he had any idea where he was going. In the morning he had been too focused on Agnes and his thoughts to pay any attention to his surroundings.

"Idiot, idiot, oh I'm a stupid idiot." Azemo hummed to himself, hoping upon hope he would find something.

The first open door Azemo found had darkness oozing out of the room but before Azemo could turn tail a cold feminine voice spoke.

"Enter."

'What was with demons and one word phrases.'

Azemo, against his better judgement entered the room. A coldness washed over him as he crossed the threshold and once again the voice spoke.

"Where."

'Again!! Maybe this thing can't talk properly.'

"Uhh the moon." Idiot Azemo struck again before he could take the time to think about it.

"Fool."

'I'm really tired of people calling me that.' Azemo felt something crawl over his body and then suddenly everything went black.

The next time he could see he was back in his room. "Welp, time for bed."

Azemo had barely been out of his room for three hours but even Agnes' incessant knocking could not awake him from his beauty rest.
