Abigail's restlessness persisted even after she returned home. She anxiously awaited Christopher's arrival, her mind consumed with thoughts of whether he had approved Nancy's design. Her fingers twitched uncomfortably as she strode down the corridor, her attention darting to the wall clock.

Finally, Christopher arrived, his cheerful demeanor contrasting sharply with her flustered appearance. Oblivious to her inner turmoil, he greeted her with a warm smile and pulled her into his arms.

"Are you waiting for me?" he inquired with a hint of amusement in his voice.

Abigail nodded vigorously, clinging to him as if she feared he might slip away if she let go.

Christopher stretched his lips from ear to ear, pleased with her heartfelt response. "I missed you too," he whispered.

"You are late," she whined, pouting.
