She carried on eating while giving a nod.
Patrick said, "Are you sure there is nothing wrong?" Her somber demeanor didn't sit well with him. "You are barely saying anything. What is it?"
"It's nothing."
"Nothing? But you are acting differently. You've been so quiet since you came. Did I say or do something you don't like?" He inquired with concern.
She retorted, "We talked about this, Ricky. Nothing is wrong. I am fine." He shook his head and carried on eating. After some time, Phina said something to end their quiet exchange. She was staring at him now, waiting for a response, saying, "You returned late yesterday, and your number wasn't reachable."
Patrick regarded her questioningly. There was something in her tone that he could sense. She had a distinct voice. He gave her a long look before responding to her query. "It's probably the network at the club."
"You went to a club? You said you weren't going out with your workers yesterday."
