Capítulo 68: Time Together
"Mahiru, spill the beans already!"
"Eh?"
Mahiru gave out a confused sound as she heard the voice of Ubugawa's manager Eri and felt the stares that boring into her as she was cleaning the plates.
"What do you mean?"
"You know exactly what I mean. You look more cheerful and sparkly since the beach trip, especially more so when you're with that guy on your team. So something special definitely happened!"
"You guys…"
Mahiru didn't know what to say but she felt her cheeks flush a bit after seeing how everyone was looking at her. Placing the clean plate down she spoke to them in a tame quiet voice.
"Well, Haruto and I are dating now so maybe that's why."
Her soft words echoed through the minds of all the girls there that one of them who was snacking on some bread, paused for a bit to properly think about what she said.
"Kyahh did it happen during the beach trip or sometime else?!"
"Who confessed first?!"
"How long have you guys been together?!"
"W-Wait don't all speak at the same time…"
Mahiru suddenly panicked when all the girls surrounded her and she tried her best to answer some of their questions after calming them down.
"How nice~"
"Hahh, I wish I could experience something like that."
Mahiru chuckled slightly after seeing the girls around her give a small sigh as they tried to imagine themselves in the scenario she just told them.
"So what made you like him?"
"What made me like Haruto?"
"Yeah! When we first met you, it looked like you already had your full eyes on him so I'm just curious what made you fall for him."
Eri said as the other managers from the Tokyo teams nodded their heads in excitement as they would love to know the love story of their beautiful blond haired friend.
Mahiru who heard her question thought about the various experiences she had with Haruto and smiled sweetly while thinking about them.
"Well I like how he's very observant and acts how he likes while also thinking about the person he's with. He's helped me during some tough times and provided me comfort when I didn't think it could be possible."
Mahiru started to ramble about all the things she loves about her sweetheart that the girls around her felt extremely shy hearing her sweet words. The smile she started to emit made them clench their chests and felt damage from her aura.
"But I also love his flaws, like how he has a hard time taking good care of himself but he seems to be improving, making me have mixed feelings about—Mmph."
"Alright Mahiru any more and you're going to kill all of us from a sugar overdose..."
Kiyoko swiftly placed her hands over Mahiru's mouth while slightly blushing, trying to prevent her from speaking any further. Mahiru saw how some of them were fanning their hot cheeks and she felt her ears burn up rose red remembering the words she said.
"Umm Mahiru… can I ask for your advice on something?"
Calming herself down, Mahiru looked at Yachi and saw how she was slightly fidgeting and listened to what she wanted to ask her.

"Those guys passed out really fast once they got to their beds."
Haruto looked back into the classroom and saw the dim room with the exceptions of certain areas where there were small lights for the guys who were still awake.
In order to prevent disturbing people who were sleeping, he closed the sliding door quietly. Haruto turned on his phone and saw how it was still a bit early for him to sleep and wanted to walk around to relieve his boredom.
"The hallways look really cool at night…"
Haruto whispered as he watched the moonlight shine through the windows as he passed by them. Looking at the moon by himself, he felt the urge to have Mahiru by his side.
'I wonder if she's sleeping by now.'
He thought in his head as he turned on his phone to message her but suddenly stopped when he felt someone tap his shoulder.
"Hehe I got you~"
"You…"
Turning his head over his right side, Haruto felt a finger poke his right cheek and saw Mahiru smiling, feeling happy that her small prank worked.
Haruto looked at her walk by his side with her hair was still slightly damp and a small towel hanging on her neck.
"Just finished taking a bath?"
"I finished taking one a while ago. I just went to the bathroom to finish my nightly routine."
Mahiru smiled as she waved around the small pouch she had in her hands. Haruto chuckled at her actions and offered to walk her back to her classroom so she could place her pouch away.
"So what are you doing out walking around?"
"I felt bored sitting in the room since everyone was already sleeping so I wanted to walk around to relieve it."
Mahiru nodded her head hearing his answer and they walked while talking about the day they had so far. As they approached her classroom, Haruto felt the desire to spend more time together after being with her.
"Do you want to come walk around with me for a bit longer?"
"Walk around?"
"Hmm, I want to spend more time with you."
Mahiru watched Haruto's eyes as he stared at her and her mouth blossomed into a bright smile.
"Sure, let me put my stuff away first."
Haruto leaned on the wall near the classroom and went on his phone as he waited for Mahiru to come out.
"Sorry for making you wait."
"It's alright…"
Haruto saw Mahiru come out with a slight blush on her cheeks and also saw a few heads peeking out the door. They were staring intently at his face and he just waved at them before leading Mahiru through the hallways.
"I thought they were going to bore a hole through my head with the way they were staring at me."
"Don't mind them, they were probably curious after what I told them about our relationship."
"Oho? Did people also hound you with questions?"
Mahiru noticed his question and asked him what he meant, Haruto just told her about what happened during that time they were in the cafeteria together and they laughed at the coincidence.
As they walked they found a small bench near a big window and decided to sit down as they liked the scene it gave off.
Watching the clear night skies, Haruto noticed Mahiru skimming through her silky hair with her fingers to get rid of some tangles that formed.
"Do you want me to braid your hair to help with those tangles?"
"Eh, you know how to braid hair?"
"Yeah, Akane loved to try out new hairstyles from the animes she's watched so she made me learn how to do some. Here, turn around and spread out your hair."
Mahiru listened to his words and turned around, spreading out her silky hair. Looking at the empty hallway, she felt his hands slowly brush through her hair and she felt happy with how gentle he was when combing her hair.
A few minutes of silence went by and Mahiru felt her long hair neatly intertwined over into a clean french braid. Mahiru looked through the camera on her phone and tilted her head to look at his work.
"How does it look?"
"Shouldn't I be the one asking that?"
Haruto laughed as he saw her hold the long braid in her hands and felt happy she seemed to like it.
"Ah wait there's some hair sticking out."
He noticed some loose hair sticking near the top of her ear and leaned over to fix it. Mahiru felt like a deer in headlights as she saw him come close and gently tuck the loose hair behind her soft ears.
Fixing up her hair to make it neater, he stared at Mahiru's face who was looking at him with a straight face.
"You look beautiful as always…"
Haruto blurted out the first words that came to his mind as he stared at Mahiru's golden eyes and watched how her smooth skin turned into a deep crimson glow.
Not knowing how to express herself, Mahiru moved herself closer to him and nestled her way into Haruto's arms.
"You say things like these really easily…"
"I only say these things to you though."
Mahiru smiled when she heard his words and leaned her body more into his, while also subtly glancing at his exposed cheek.
"We still haven't gone out with only the two of us so can we plan something after the training camp."
"Of course, where do you want to go?"
Haruto tightened his arm around Mahiru and pulled out his phone looking at the places Mahiru tried to suggest. The two of them sat on the bench and the night slowly ticked away, leaving them time to spend in each other's embrace.
