Without pausing for a second, Ashur gathered as much energy as he could and compressed it into a lightning bolt, throwing it in the alchemist’s direction.
Instead of using a shield to defend himself, the alchemist simply reached out, grabbed one of the potions of the table, and chugged it.
The lightning bolt struck the alchemist’s chest hard. But surprisingly, it bounced off harmlessly.
Ashur stared at him in shock. How had he been able to do that? There had been no barrier, no defense at all.
The short man burst into maniacal laughter. “Boy, I told you that I’m powerful, didn’t I?”
“How...how did you do that?” Ashur stammered. He had never seen anything like this before. his lessons back in the Hon Clan didn’t go in-depth about the powers of alchemists since they were so rare.
“You have never seen the invincibility potion before and you still want to deal with me?” The alchemist scoffed. “How on earth are you going to do that?”
