Capítulo 37: xxxvii
After Mateo had left his room, he decided to visit his sister at the hospital. He felt truly disgusted and betrayed. He had known of Cora's obsession with Giovanni, but Cora was young and naive, their father had ruined her, but Indie was the more mature one of them all, so hearing that she was in love with his biggest enemy made his heart filled with hatred towards his sister, and maybe Rosalie was right, maybe he needed to pay more close attention to the people that surrounded him, including her.
As the Alpha entered, everyone went silent, watching in fear as he came in with a furious look on his face. Walking up to the front desk, the nurse behind it squeals in fear before casting her gaze down, "W-Wait can I do for you, Alpha?" She asked as Mateo cleared his throat, "I'm here to see my sister," he said as the woman quickly nodded, "She's in room 234," she replied as Mateo quickly left, causing everyone to sigh in relief.
Heading to Indie's room, Mateo found himself getting angrier and angrier with every step that he took until he stopped in front of the room door. He could hear her slow and steady breathing, indicating that she was asleep, so he opened the door quietly, and there she was sound asleep in a hospital gown before thick bandages wrapped around her shoulder.
Mateo felt no pity towards his sister, to be honest, he wished Genesis had finished the job, fewer problems for him.
Gently closing the door behind him, Mateo walked to the front of Indie's bed, watching her as she slept before sighing heavily, he didn't feel bad about what he was about to do. Being successful means making sacrifices and these sacrifices were the bare minimum, it was as if he was getting rid of his old habits.
Indie began to stir as Mateo sighed loudly, her eyes soon fluttered open, adjusting to bright light before she saw a blurred figure in front of her, "Wake up, sister, let's have a chat," Mateo said as he shook the bed, causing Indie to quickly awaken to see her adoptive brother in front of her, which was strange, it was always Koa.
"Mateo?" She called out as her eyebrows furrowed in confusion, "Ah, you're awake," he said as he stared at her blankly, making her nervous as she reached up to touch her bandaged shoulder, causing Mateo to follow her hand, "That seems like a nasty bite," he said as Indie shivered at his tone, "Tell me something that I already know, Indie, my instructions to you was to inform the people of Queensland that I've found my Luna, tell me what you did," he said, walking to the heart monitor before yanking the cords from it as Indie's heart quickens.
"I-I thought this would've satisfied you," she said as Mateo turned to her with raised eyebrows, "I think you meant yourself, sister, after all, you do love the little runt," he said, causing Indie's eyes to widen, her face turning pale, "You're mistaken, I don't love him, he's the enemy," she tried to defend herself, but her words just went through Mateo's ear and came out the other, "You're right, he is the enemy, they're the enemy, but that didn't stop our little sister, didn't it, and now she's dead," he said as tears filled Indie's eyes.
"I'm sorry, I-I didn't mean to," she pleaded as Mateo cooed, "I know you didn't, but you see I'm building an empire, and just like my lovely Luna said, it has to be built on unity and honestly, so now I have to get rid of the things that could weaken my plans," he said as anger welled up in Indie's eyes.
"Build an empire, you? HA!" Indie laughed as Mateo fumed, his eyes turning red, "You're father is cursed, he tried and failed, just like his father, and his father before that, so makes you think that you'll succeed?" She tauntingly asked as Mateo growled, his claws growing out of his fingertips, "You're so blind that you can't even see your downfall right in front of you," she said before gasping with widened eyes.
She couldn't have seen his sudden movement, he was too fast. The pillow beneath Indie's head began soaking up with blood as she gurgled before slowly dying. Mateo looked into Indie's opened eyes that stared back at him before looking down at his hand that had blood on it, he sighed.
"You got blood on my hand, Indie," he said, pulling the sheet of the hospital bed before wiping his hand, "I wish you a speedy recovery sister, take care," he said before walking out of the room.

Broken was an understatement for how Giovanni felt as he carried his brother's unconscious body back to Benjamin's house. That was the most brutal fight they had ever had and Giovanni was scared that if his brother didn't get overly exhausted from the anger that consumed him then one of them would've died.
Grunts and groans escaped from Giovanni's lips as he continued to carry his brother. Although the fight was over, they both suffer from extremely painful injuries that would take a while to heal.
Giovanni still had no idea why his brother went all beast mode on Indie, who Giovanni didn't see escape but she was gone. Both brothers knew of Indie's feelings for Genesis, she wasn't like Cora, so it was easy to just ignore her. But today, she might have told Genesis something that triggered him off.
"Ben!" Giovanni strainingly yelled, grabbing the attention of the couple that waited for them to return. Melody gasped upon seeing them, while Benejamin's eyes widened, "Quickly, get him into the house!" Benjamin demanded as Melody rushed to Giovanni's side, assisting him as they went into the house.
She rushed ahead of Giovanni, who grew weaker and weaker, before she pushed all of the items present on the dining table off, "Lay him here," she softly said as Giovanni laid Genesis on the table before sighing.
"What the hell happened out there?" Benjamin asked as Giovanni slumped against the table while Melody worked frantically on Genesis and Benjamin worked on Giovanni, "I don't know, but Indie was there, he could've killed her," he replied as Benjamin sighed, "Mateo probably sent her to spread some kind of news," he said, while stitching Giovanni open wound, "But what could it have been, Genesis normally doesn't care whatever news that they spread," he said before they all flinch when Genesis suddenly sat up, breathing heavily with glowing eyes.
Giovanni quickly turned to his brother, grabbing his shoulders, "Hey! Look at me! It's alright Genesis!" He yelled, lightly shaking his brother's body as Genesis turned to him before his eyes went back to normal. Giovanni's eyes softened as he watched Genesis's eyes well up with tears, "We lost her, Gio, he finally took her from us," Genesis began to weep as he collapsed in his brother's arms, crying on his shoulder.
Giovanni looked over at Benjamin with tears of his own gathered in his eyes as he firmly held onto his brother, "What are you talking about?" He asked, against his brother's hair.
"Rosalie, she accepted Mateo's proposal, she's the new Luna," Genesis replied, as Giovanni blinked, tears running down his face before his legs buckled causing Benjamin to quickly hold onto him before sighing shakingly.
"This is the beginning boys, remember who you are and what you have to do, prepare yourself for what's to come, and do everything that you think is right, be patient."

Sleeping peacefully on the bed, Rosalie suddenly jerked out of her sleep as her mouth began to spring water. Frowning at the sudden effect on her body, she swallowed, brushing off the feeling as she tried to go back to bed. But yet again, the nauseous feeling that came back stronger had her rushing to the bathroom, where she uncontrollably empty her stomach.
It was intense, bringing tears to her eyes that streamed down her face. She began choking as she gripped the toilet seat trying to clear her throat before a hand began firmly rubbing against her back, helping her to get everything out before she leaned back breathing heavily.
"Are you alright, my love?" His voice, startled Rosalie's eyes open as he stared down at her with a blank expression on his face, causing hers to grow pale.
"You'll make a wonderful mother."
