Capítulo 59: Restless

The soirée could not be hosted due to the Alpha King's absence, so the crowds were politely sent home. They never informed the guests about the soirée, so it was easy to dismiss them. Veronica and the rest of the consorts oversaw the cleaning in the main hall, while Rio and Nicky stood guard with their men.

Rio had not seen Elias since he gave him the antidote, but he trusted him and expected Elias to explain everything later .He had a lot of theories about why Elias would not let him into his room, but Elias was stronger than most werewolves, no one could be a threat to him.

"Where is Consort Alice?" asked Veronica, who noticed something was wrong among the consorts and darted her gaze around the main hall in search of her. After a few minutes of looking around, she confirmed that she was not paranoid and that Alice was absent.

"Ahh! She was not feeling well, so she returned to her room." A consort came forward and relayed, causing Veronica to sigh.
