Capítulo 1: Adventurer's guild

The world of Arcadia is a world filled with monsters, demonic beasts, dungeons and demons. In exchange for the countless monster often attacking the cities, humans were born with endless potential. Some were born with powerful physical strength; others were born with magical talent. However, with the endless hordes, death was the norm, and plenty of people still lived in the street.

It was in such a world that Lux was reborn.

Lux, a man from the modern world, awoke in the body of an orphan of seven years old with a distinct power: Invincible. An ability that would keep him alive and allow him to beat any of his opponents.

Fifteen years later, Lux, twenty-two years old, stood in the alley where everything began.

The brown-haired, blue-eyed muscular young man with a tight black shirt and long black pants and a sword tied to his waist closed his fist tightly.

"I became the strongest and repelled countless monster hordes. It's now time to do what I always wished. I want to create the adventurer's guild and become its first head. I will offer a chance to those who never had any."

"Ding!"

---

Lux looked at the blue screen that appeared in front of his eyes. "Yes, I created you to help me create and manage the adventurer's guild. After all those years, you will finally start working." He said lightly to the blue screen that replied with a happy emoji.

The blue screen, or the adventurer system as he liked to call it, had been created to help run the adventurer guild he would soon open. It would help in managing the finances, the workers, the adventurers and would also assist in keeping the whole place running correctly.

Lux had been working on the adventurer system for over seven years. He had collected the various necessary magics from the dungeons, had gotten the knowledge with the help of many scholars and had personally developed the multitudes of facets for the system to assist him ideally. The system Lux had created, or Hazel as the young man named her would be able to help the adventurer guild and support him in his new endeavour. Of course, most of the ideas came from his previous world, as otherwise, he would have never thought about creating a system from scratch.

"Alright, Hazel, let's go. It's time we go and visit our new adventurer's guild building." He said with an excited grin as he left the dirty alley and walked towards the east of the capital, towards his new building, representing his new goal in life.

"Yes, master." She replied as the screen showed a map and the fastest road to their destination.

---

Half an hour later, Lux arrived in front of his newly built and furnished building. "I hope it's as good as I asked." He muttered to himself as he took a look around. The building was four-story-high, made of white bricks and the royal mages heavily enchanted them.

It wasn't hard to ask the mages for help. Lux was, after all, known as the strongest and had multiple meetings with the king of the kingdom, who was surprisingly a chill guy. So, when he mentioned creating an organization to complete requests and hopefully improved the lives of the civilians, he more than welcomed it. After all, civilians were also members of his kingdom.

Unfortunately, the king was powerless. He had multiple times tried to improve the lives of his subjects, but with countless monsters attacking the cities and the capital relentlessly, he couldn't offer them a proper stage to showcase their talents. As such, when he heard of Lux's idea, he welcomed it. In his own words: If it doesn't work, it's only another miss, and if it works, this action will improve their lives.

Remembering the conversation with the king, he shook his head with a smile before he brought back his attention to the newly made building. The doors were pale brown. However, they would mostly be open at all times to allow the adventurers entry.

Entering the building, Lux saw twenty ATM-like machines on the left side of the hall. Lux had made the machines, and Hazel would directly control them. Their purpose was to help the adventurers choose their tasks and register them more easily. The adventurer would have to put their adventurer's card on the card slot of the ATM, who would then scan both the card and said adventurer to confirm the identity.

Following the confirmation, ranks would appear on the ATM screen. The grades would be those the adventurer had the right to take, which included all the tasks on their level, the task one rank above and all the jobs under their grade. Once there, they would have the right to take a mission, and there would be a mission description, requirement, location and reward for the task they wanted.

Once they took a task, Hazel would register the task with their adventurer card, and they would have a specific timeframe to complete the mission and bring back proof.

Taking his eyes away from his previous invention, Lux looked at the rest of the floor. The floor was made of black slabs of stone, while the interior walls were pale brown. There were tables with four or six chairs depending on the length of the table across the entire floor. Lux had asked to have tables spread on the floor for adventurers who waited for their party members. On the wall opposite the entrance, a large counter took most of the place with various crystal balls.

The crystal balls had the function of detecting a lie and were made magically by some artisans. Even if the opposite person were a master lier, the crystal would still notice it and notify the guild employee. It had multiple functions, such as helping the employee confirm whether the opposing party completed their task if they couldn't collect proof of subjugation or establish what the other person was saying. After all, information was crucial for the adventurer guild, and they couldn't allow false information as it could cost the lives of many adventurers.

Finally, except for the crystal ball on the counter were a machine to make the adventurer's card and inscribe their information, and there were pens and papers since they were always helpful.

He then turned to the last room on the right. The room would act as a medical bay for the adventurers who were hurt during their mission and needed medical assistance. In the beginning, he wasn't sure about having this room built. Still, after he contacted one of his old party members who had explored multiple dungeons with him in the past, he learned that she was planning on retiring as an explorer and was looking for a regular job for the following years. He directly invited her to use her medical talent for the medical bay he created in the adventurer's guild.

Lux had the medical bay filled with various desks and medical beds for the patients. Of course, they would have to pay for their treatment, but even if they couldn't, they would be in dept of the adventurer's guild who would take a certain percentage of their future completed missions until the adventurer repaid their debt. It was a pretty good deal for the adventurers as it would allow them to continue working.

Giving a satisfying glance at the first floor, he climbed the stairs to the second floor, where he found another large area filled with tables and another counter. However, this one was distinctly different from the one downstairs as the artisans had filled it with bottles of liquors and some food at Lux's request. He would be employing a few chefs to serve the adventurers who wanted to eat at the adventurer's guild. Lux guessed that they would primarily use this space before and after their mission with their pay.

He then once again walked towards the stairs and walked to the third floor of the building. It would be a shop. The adventurer's guild would buy the various items they found unrelated to their mission task. For example, if they conquered a dungeon, they would generally find a few treasure chests on the way, and maybe they would find a few magical tomes. The guild would buy such items while reselling them to others for a slightly higher price.

Finally, Lux walked down to the first floor before going to a hidden room behind the counter, and he used his card with the words guild master written on it to open the magical elevator that would send him to the fourth floor, which held his office and a conference hall for the more important business.

Giving a glance, he nodded his head in acknowledgement of the work the artisans did on the building. The conference hall was one massive table with over fifty chairs all around it, while in the center of the said table was an orb which Lux immediately linked with Hazel. Lux would only use the room when a big business or dangerous situation happened.

Finally, he entered his guild master room. The room took half of the whole floor. In the first half was his desk along with couches and chairs. Lux had the artisans fill the walls with flat crystals, which Hazel would connect to, to show him the current adventurer guild in real-time. It acted as surveillance cameras.

On the other half of the room was his room, such as a bedroom, a washroom, a living room and a kitchen. Once again, he nodded his head as everything was like he had planned it.

"Hazel, connect me to Aysha and the others. I need to know when they will arrive." He said as he sat down behind his desk and looked at the image projected in front of him.
