"What did you do to get kicked out this time?" Kimhan asked, amused as he walked by and saw me.
"Don't act like I get kicked out of the classroom all the time!"
"Well, that's what it looks like. You wander into other classrooms, and now your own. What trouble did you cause this time?"
"You're the one causing trouble! My class is freaking out because you're playing the prince. They're all plotting against you, and since I'm your friend, I got kicked out."
"I figured someone wouldn't be happy, but once my class agreed, I couldn't refuse. Your tie is crooked again," Kimhan pointed out, stepping closer to fix it. "Didn't I fix it for you this morning? When will your tie ever stay straight?"
"Probably the same time I stop getting lost on the way to school," I replied cheekily, smiling at Kimhan who shook his head.
"Then I guess I'll have to keep an eye on you forever," he sighed, but his smile told me he didn't mind. I didn't understand why.
"Your class is doing Snow White, right? What role did you get?"
"Snow White," I said angrily. "They said if I'm dumb enough to get lost on the way to school, I'm dumb enough to eat something from a strange old lady. Funny, right?"
I thought he'd laugh, but Kimhan looked shocked instead.
"Kimhan, are you okay?"
"...Nothing. But Snow White... Are you planning to do a real kiss scene?" he asked, clearly annoyed. I laughed.
"Haha! You're worried that your hairy Sleeping Beauty will lose, huh? Too bad my cuteness alone is enough. No need for a real kiss."
"How can you be sure?"
"Jun is playing the prince. He's dating my sister. No matter what anyone says, he won't kiss me for real."
Despite my explanation, Kimhan's frown didn't go away. I didn't understand why he was upset.
"Hey, you two, help me move these boxes to the storage room on the second floor," a teacher called out. So, Kimhan and I helped out.
We walked into the storage room, but no matter how much I tiptoed, I couldn't get the box onto the top shelf. That's when Kimhan came from behind, helping me lift it. His fingers touched mine, his body close to mine, and the scent of his cologne made my heart race.
Why does this awkward feeling keep bothering me? What's wrong with me?
"Thanks," I said, trying to act normal, though I felt disappointed when Kimhan stepped back. There was an awkward silence, so I tried to make conversation.
"By the way, you're playing the prince. Are you planning a real kiss?"
Kimhan looked at me thoughtfully before asking, "...Do you want me to kiss for real?"
"What? Why ask me?"
"Do you want me to kiss for real?" he repeated.
"That depends on you."
"Then I will."
With that, Kimhan leaned in and kissed me deeply and unexpectedly. I was stunned.
Kimhan kissed me! He kissed me! Why is my heart racing so much?
"What did you do that for!?" I stammered, covering my mouth in shock, my mind in chaos.
"You said it was up to me," Kimhan replied, his sharp eyes unreadable. "And I said I'd kiss for real."
"I meant the princess!" I stuttered, blushing, my heart pounding.
"The princess Snow White is right here in front of me."
"You idiot!!" I yelled, rushing out.
Kimhan kissed me. He kissed me. Why is my heart beating so fast!?
