Chapter 1 - {The Beginning Of The End}
{Narrator' Pov}
Cardinal World, West Of Vramus Forest.
On an inconspicuous forest located in the southeastern regions of the main continent, a burst of magicules suddenly erupted from the ground and merged into a vaguely humanoid-shaped mass.
A luminescent sapphire light came out of the humanoid mass and bathed the surrounding area with illuminating light.
The humanoid mass suddenly twitched and became a lot clearer. Now it had a much more discernible appearance, One that an average member of civilized society could easily recognize.
An undead.
A walking rotting corpse of a once lively man.
A filthy disgusting unnatural aberration of the world detested by all but those aligned with the darkness.
More specifically a Ghoul, The undead race that bore a hideous face that even a necromancer could not love. Universally understood as the most "alive" undead yet could not be anything more than a mockery of true life.
The Ghoul released a bated breath and opened his eyes revealing a ruby-red colored orb on each eye akin to an eyeball.
"How in God's saggy balls am I still alive?" The Ghoul inquired to nobody in particular.
[The answer? simple, you didn't buddy] A distinctly androgynous voice resounded through his mental ears and responded to him.
"Huh, who's speaking?" The Ghoul nearly jumped in fright when a suspicious voice suddenly answered his question.
[It's nobody in particular. I mean you did question nobody in particular right?] The voice responded.
"It's nobody in particular. I mean you did question nobody in particular right? That's quite a long name for a disembodied voice" The Ghoul gave out a snarky retort to the voice.
[...]
[Fr tho I don't have a name but you can just call me Companion] Companion revealed to the Ghoul.
"You don't have a name? That's sad, I'm sorry that I had to bring back memories of your neglectful parents, Companion" It seemed that the Ghoul had a rather difficult personality to work with.
[Damn right you neglectful bastard, I'm technically your child] But unfortunately for the Ghoul, Companion was specifically designed by the Voice of the World to be his talking buddy.
"My child? What do you mean by that?" He was pretty sure that he didn't have any kids, especially disembodied ones.
[My consciousness was born from your unique skill <Companions for Undeath> I'm supposed to be your buddy that stays loyal even after death] Companion stated.
"Unique skill? Did I get isekaid into a LitRPG world?" If that was the truth then he was both screwed and blessed at the same time.
[I... Don't know] Companion responded.
"What do you mean you don't know, aren't you supposed to be my helper or something? ya know the tutorial guides that usually appear in RPG games" The Ghoul stated in exasperation.
[Uhh... No? Didn't I just say that I'm a talking buddy not fucking Navi? My purpose is to keep you from becoming a mentally unhinged Terminator-Undead style because of solitude. All I know is everything you know plus some basic stuff to keep you from dying.] Companion retorted.
Hmm, Yeah that makes sense.
"Uhh... Now what?" The Ghoul Questioned.
[Now you go start an undead festival Murder. Death. Kill. Style] Companion gave a pretty reasonable answer to his question.
"What? Didn't you say that you didn't want me to become a serial killer?" But apparently, our protagonist did not see it that way.
[I don't want you to become a mentally troubled murderer, not a regular murderer, There's a big difference cuz killing life is a social norm for the undead]
"Huh, fair enough I guess"
And that was how the adventures of the Goofy Ghoul and his Disembodied Companion started.

Sorry for the short chapter, My sickly body felt like a trainwreck these couple of days add that with loads of homework close to their deadlines, That meant that I couldn't write as much as I wanted.
So please give me some more stones since that will probably motivate me to go plus ultra in the art of anime fanfiction writing.
