'Find your memories, Detective and then we'll talk.' Her last words echoed through my head.

'Find your memories.' She made it sound like it was such an easy task to accomplish. I scoffed. What did she think? I have tried several times trying to retrieve the memories that I have lost. But, no matter how much I forced my head to go back in time and recall the things that I needed to, it was futile.

Hopeless.

To add, it was not quite sitting well with me when she had reminded me that Marcus Zephanie was merely using me for whatever scheme he has.

He must be thinking that this was some kind of game. I clenched my hands into fists. If he had wanted to play, I had no interest in taking part in it. 

On the way back to his place, I stopped short as I arrived at the door.
