Capítulo 78: Past, Present, and Future

'I need you, Ava.' His voice echoed inside my head. I can't help the shivers crawling through my skin, recalling the nightmare caused by X from last night.

I grimaced, realizing that I had put too much cocoa powder in the drink in my hand as I absent-mindedly sipped the mixture from the mug. I was leaning by the fridge. My hair was still dripping wet from the cold shower I just had. 

Hearing the microwave ping, indicating that it was done heating the ramen I was suddenly craving. I blew out a sigh remembering how worried Rafael was when I had woken up from the nightmare brought by X. I was mad at myself for being so careless and had woken him up from his deep slumber. 

Unlike me, he has a regular morning shift. My schedule is not fixed. By next week I might end up having a graveyard shift instead of the afternoon one. I wish I could just have the regular morning one too. That way, Rafael and I will have more mealtime together.
