Capítulo 86: Cheering Up
When Lin Cian heard from Kuo Jian his heart skipped a beat and took some time for him to interpret how to respond to his question. Seeing him not responding and looking away from him Kuo Jian was shocked but confused by his actions. After all, he knew Lin Cian was the favorite person for Lin Tamayo and the same goes for Lin Cian.
"Will you abandon her?" Kuo Jian clenched his fist in disappointment.
"Never" Lin Cian's reply was immediate.
Then it became an awkward silence for a minute before Kuo Jian broke the silence. He sprang from the bed and turned to Lin Cian "you can't be thinking she will abandon you if you are weak. She... she" he couldn't finish his sentence because he touched the right perspective of Lin Cian's thoughts and Lin Cian's poker face stared at him forcing him to shut his mouth.
Seeing no hope in Lin Cian instead of letting him feel sad Kuo Jian told him about his sister who was longing to come together with Lin Cian.
Only by then did Lin Cian come to know about the true nature of his sister and how she is doing in the academy. Telling that she was having a hard time in the academy, Lin Cian was asked to show up to her and cheer her up to do what she loves.
Lin Tamayo was having a hard time because of the pestering of men who were interested in wooing her. Her progress in improving her power was getting reduced because of the unreasonable pain she was experiencing in her lower abdomen.
He also told Lin Cian about her friend who was a strong person helping her almost whenever she was in trouble.
Realizing what he was going through Kuo Jian spit out everything he knew to Lin Cian. Lin Cian's lips formed a smile but suddenly to Kuo Jian's disappointment, Lin Cian stood up and walked towards the entrance to get out of the house.
After a few minutes, Kuo Jian walked out of the house and went to accompany the others but he could not see Lin Cian with them. After a minute William stands up to go to Lin Cian but June stops him "check if he is alright; he should have some rest." She smiled with a worried expression at William as she pursed her lips.
June would have run to Lin Cian if not for the people of the Frey family around her. Only because Lin Cian did request her to stay with her clanmates she was there with them. After all, she is the only one who her clanmates can trust so no matter what she has to bear with it.
Seeing those people behave very differently Kuo Jian let out a sigh and sat on the ground and looked at the back of William who set out to look for Lin Cian who was gone for a few hours now.
William searched for a few minutes but due to the mastery of his sense of smell finding his skinny friend was a piece of cake for him. It took just a few minutes to find Lin Cian who was sitting above the roof of the house where he held a conversation with Kuo Jian.
William saw that Lin Cian was in a bad shape even before getting near him. To stimulate him William thought of asking him for a fight but he realized that won't help because Lin Cian is not a fighting maniac so as always William decided to go to Lin Cian on the roof of the house.
He hopped up to the roof in one go and walked towards Lin Cian who was on the other side of the roof but William got no response from Lin Cian even if he was very close to him. It was just five feet to him and Lin Cian so William confirmed Lin Cian's dismal.
"Are you ok?" William's dissent yet thoughtful tone invaded Lin Cian's years for which he replied with his silence. William slightly frowned at Lin Cian because of his uncommon behavior and sighed to himself and decided to be quiet to see what Lin Cian was up to.
Lin Cian sighed after a minute as his dull eyes didn't find their way to face William. Closing his eyes Lin Cian recalled a specific memory that made his face go even pale. His eyes turned their way to the ground "William" he let go a heavy sigh.
"Hmm" upon hearing William's reply "If you find out I am no more what will you do?" asked Lin Cian.
William was super shocked but more than that his nose and his lip bulged; his breath became tense. He was vexed "how dar...?" Lin Cian crossed him "just in case" making William calm down a bit.
"Wherever you go or whatever you do, take my Sabretooth with you until you come across a woman with differently colored pupils. Blurt my name to her; give my belongings to her if she catches up with what you are up to. Remember to check whether she is willing to take this with her." Lin Cian realized there is no point in asking him because anyone could say William will be demoted so he told him a code.
Feeling Lin Cian was still demoted, William tried to speak with him but once again Lin Cian cut him "Don't worry; I would strive my best to follow my fate as if it was best for me. I will make sure the world will not collapse because of my carelessness. I will do my part to run along with my kismet." Each word of Lin Cian is accompanied by a cold and lifeless voice.
William realized something was wrong but couldn't be sure of what exactly was wrong. Still being with him Lin Cian turned at him and smiled but for the first time, William saw a feeling of pain in his heart.
He knew Lin Cian was a cold person who acted as if he was cheerful; he also knows that Lin Cian was very good at hiding his emotions; in other words, Lin Cian's emotional intelligence is more than average but he was shocked to see Lin Cian being sad.
Lin Cian wanted to have some rest but the confused feeling in his heart made him restless. While William also understood that Lin Cian was missing someone; either he was craving to meet or he was reluctant to meet the person.
Lin Cian finds himself in a difficult situation where he had to choose between choosing adventure or going to Lin Tamayo.
Understanding the situation William asked him "what would you do if I was gone?"
"What should I carry this heavy thing everywhere with me? No way. Do you want me to die in back pain huh?" Lin Cian unknowingly resumed his bickering state but only realized when William chuckled and started to laugh.
Lin Cian rolled his eyes and William started to brag about things for which Lin Cian trolled him. Knowing that William intended to let Lin Cian troll him; Lin Cian used the opportunity to mock and tease him until William went red. Seeing that Lin Cian was purposely trolling him William took out his spear and both started to fight.
They spared for an hour and stopped only when June interfered, then used her magic to stop the fight and put both of them to sleep with an anesthetic spell.
Seeing Lin Cian lasted fine after an hour of sparring Kuo Jian was very surprised and couldn't help being curious and asked many questions about him but he confided his identity to everyone as Lin Cian's brother.
The ten people of the Frey family who came with June were also very much impressed by Lin Cian because of his persistence and cunningness. They agreed that Lin Cian was a master tactician and of course, June took the chance to brag about her husband and her newfound brother to her followers who widened their eyes in surprise.
Seeing her wife being cute Harry Lockwood admired her the whole time staring at her while his mental energy scanned the whole area for any insecurities. He adopted the technique from Lin Cian's seventh sense and learned the skill with the help and guidance of Lin Cian for which he repaid by guiding Lin Cian to master his movement skills.
Darius, being busy eating Aveda, kept over everyone including the ten members of the Frey clan and the two additional people who just joined them. Wei Li, who knew the intention of his leader, helped her by watching everyone and giving her some support.
Kuo Jian and Dhalia, the new couple who were unmarried but claimed themselves to be husband and wife were staring at each other and having some sweet moments with each other.
Lin Cian and William on the other hand were sleeping like children somewhere in the shabby mansion.
