His touch was cold, one enough to make you look. Valerie did the same, she utterly looked at her father's dark features like a blackness covering his face, before she gripped her touch.
Ares turns toward her, his frightening eyes slowly shifting back to what she already saw. It was just Ares, a father who was left. Never did she think that the God of War—of all people, will hold back.
"You really are the God of War, Ares," she mumbles and smirks, making Ares look at her shocked.
He chuckled. "It's like a job for us Gods to fill that role, like Athena, the Goddess of Wisdom, she shares her knowledge, train warriors, give hope to her people because that is her job that was given to her, it's no better for me, Ares the God of War, but I am just a God, a father to a daughter and nothing will change that," he touched her face, wiping towards her soft hair and patted her head.
