"Sir, reports from the lower deck. They're on board."
"They're on our ship? How?" Gus asked, turning around as he heard the voice.
"I'm not sure. It possibly happened when we opened the doors to let the shuttle out, and there aren't any signs of a hull breach of any kind."
"Damn," Gus muttered. "What's the situation down there?"
"We have some people down there in the firing range on the opposite side of the area, engaging with the boarders from across the room. At least I think, I can't contact them. Not too sure about the side rooms of the lower deck, although it is possible that some of them are now occupied by the boarders."
"Side rooms?"
"You didn't notice them? We don't store everything out in the open space, that's more of a hangar than anything. The smaller rooms down there are where we store most of the other things that we need."
