Capítulo 27: Professor Oak and Baited Pinery
If Jun doesn't know who Professor Oak is, then he had better not become a Trainer. Samuel Oak, or Professor Oak, is a major character in the Pokemon series and is a world-renowned Pokemon Professor who studies the relationship between humans and Pokemon. He was also an excellent Trainer in his youth but later gave up his identity as a Trainer to focus on his research.
Jun suddenly remembered from his predecessor's memory that he had signed up for the Pallet Summer Camp after the assessment. The summer camp is set up by Professor Oak and all the Middle-High School to introduce Rookie Trainers to the world of Pokemon and allows close contact with Pokemon in the wild. 'If there is Professor Oak, then there will be Ash and Gary too? That's impossible, I think,' Jun shook his head. Based on Mr. Psychic's information, Jun is at the same age as Sabrina the witch, so Ash may not have been born yet or he may still be a baby.
"Um, this Samuel Oak guy, is he that Professor Oak from Pallet town?" Jun asked.

Yes, Jun know about that. Professor Oak along with Professor Westwood, created the Pokedex, with Professor Oak providing the idea and concept, while Professor Westwood served as the programmer.
"Alright then, next I will tell you the basics of knowledge in this industry," Pinery said.
Jun immediately straightened his back and listened carefully.
First, Pinery told him his research was a little bit crude, and Pinery offered to help in this regard, including testing some data with Eevee. It took him about a week to make it look a little bit like an official research paper, but the official submission… It is estimated that it would take a few days. "Vermillion City? Hmm... it's a great place to live in. The city has a lively harbor, and I also enjoy living in the quieter community areas. It's a good balance. If I'm feeling bored, I can enjoy the beautiful ocean scenery, and if I'm in working mode, I can work in peace without any distractions," Pinery replied.
Jun nodded before dropping a bomb. "If I told you that I have more Eevee research here, would you want to move here to help me?"
Pinery was taken aback. "More Eevee research?" She immediately became serious.
"Yes, basically I wanted to ask my grandma about this, but I think I could also involve you in this project," Jun said.
"What exactly is the research about?" Pinery asked curiously. What can an 11-year-old boy do?
Jun became solemn instantly and looked left and right before beckoning to Pinery to whisper something to her.
"Eevee evolution," Jun whispered.
Instantly, Pinery stood up in shock, dropped her chair, and looked at Jun stupefied. Jun was shocked too but cleared his throat and apologized to other customers before pulling Pinery down to let her sit down to the chair beside her.
"Shh, don't be too flashy. You will gather attention here," Jun whispered.
Pinery was in a stunned state before finally speaking. "Are you kidding me? How could--"
"I am not kidding. Look at this," Jun cut her off and showed her some of the data from his next paper proposal.
"Genetic instability of normal attribute Pokemon."
"Eevee: Theories about Eevee DNA, Genotypes, and Phenotypes."
Pinery hand trembled while looking at Jun paper. This is not the first time she do a research about Eevee. The reason for her fondness of Eevee is simple - she had two Eevees, one from her father and one from her mother. These Eevees were twins but their physical conditions were not good. That's why she originally delved into Pokemon scholar - to find a cure for her Eevees. If this research could cure her Eevees, Pinery would do anything as long as there was hope.
By looking at this summary, she knew that the kid in front of her was serious about researching Eevee. She looked at the paper proposal carefully. By exposing Eevee to a certain nature to activated Eevee silent phenotype in an instant, then using Evolution Stone radiation as a catalyst to activate it's Phenotypic Plasticity. Taking consideration of Professor Rowan academic paper about Eevee genetic unstability, She knew this was the real deal here!
'But to bet on an 11-year-old kid who has just got his Pokemon?' Pinery hesitated, but after looking at his research, she faltered. The funny thing is, she understand his research!
'Maybe his grandma and mother are helping him with this? Yes, that must be it,' she slowly convinced herself that Jun got help from his family members.
She looked at her Eevees, who were nuzzling each other with Jun Eevee, and felt a sense of determination. She knew that her journey as a Pokemon scholar had led her to this moment, where she could potentially find a cure for her beloved Eevees. With a firm expression, Pinery spoke up:
"I understand. I will request a transfer to Vermillion City," she said, her voice resolute.
Jun was surprised, "Don't you want to think about it more? Why did you make such a quick decision?"
"There's no need to think about it" Pinery then tells story aboout her two Eevees and her dream to cure them.
Jun the glanced at her Eevee and noticed the [Condition: Sick [+ Tap for more info]] menu on it.

Hellowkun The genetic instability of normal attribute Pokemon is basically a theory about why normal attribute Pokemon have a large move pool from other attributes through the use of TMs. For example, Noctowl can use Rain Dance and Sunny Day simultaneously, or Raticate can use Thunder/Thunderbolt or Dodrio Tri-Attack.
The funny thing is that Tri-Attack moves are in Dodrio's move pool at level 1, while Doduo doesn't have the moves at all. The question is: does a level 1 Dodrio actually exist?
