Both sides of the family soon sat together to discuss everything, especially Jun's future. Jun sat with his little cousin, who was holding an Eevee in her arms. Being only 6 years old and five years younger than Jun, she naturally became the apple of everyone's eye with her cute appearance.
"Jun, what are your plans for the future? Now that you have your first Pokemon, do you have any plans?" Father Leonard suddenly asked Jun."
Jun is currently 11 years old and has just completed his elementary education in the world of Pokemon. The elementary education program starts at the age of 5 and lasts for 6 years to ensure that every child receives basic knowledge about both Pokemon and humans. After graduation, they move on to middle-high school, where they receive their first Pokemon and continue to hone their skills for the next 5 years. Finally, they move on to college to further their knowledge and expertise in the Pokemon world before diving into the real Pokemon world.
"Hmmm..I will continue to study, I think," Jun said.
Jun's answer silenced everyone in the living room. The atmosphere suddenly became heavy. From a young age, Jun had always shown a keen interest in becoming a Pokemon scholar. Though his knowledge-seeking personality might not be a bad thing for a scholarly career, his family had hoped that he would embark on the path of a trainer.
"But I think I also need to formulate a plan to train Eevee and make it grow faster," Jun continued.
"Kyuu~?" Eevee, who was being hugged by Yuna, looked up at Jun, making him smile.
Both his father and mother smiled upon hearing this. They had already prepared a congratulatory gift for his graduation, but they wanted to make sure that he chose the right path before giving it to him.
"It's good if you already have a plan. If you need anything, you can call your uncle and aunt. We surely will help you," Aunt Mia said and smiled.
"Yes, thank you aunt and uncle," Jun said.
"Alright then, if there's nothing else to do, then we will go back first," Aunt Mia said, wanting to bid farewell first.
"Ah, Mom, but-but," Yuna, who saw her time with Eevee was about to run out, was reluctant to leave.
"Au~dinuu!" Audino reprimanded her again.
"Don't worry, Brother Jun will definitely come to visit you later," Jun said, amused, as he patted Yuna's head.
"Ah, really? Then you must promise me!" Yuna said seriously while extending her pinky finger.
"Okay, okay," Jun smiled and extended his pinky to indicate his promise.
Jun's uncle and aunt live in a different house because this place is a little bit far away from the academy where Aunt Mia teaches. It's also the same for his grandpa and grandma, but for them, it's because of their duties. Grandpa Dennis needs to live in the north outskirts to guard the border, while Grandma Helena often stays overnight at her laboratory.
Initially, when Jun was still very young, it was his aunt and her Pokemon who lived with him and took care of him. During this period, Jun's grandpa had just become a marquess and passed down the gym leader position to his father, making him very busy with gym affairs. Similarly, Jun's mother was also busy with her breeding house, as it was in the initial stages of her daycare. Only after Jun had almost graduated from elementary school did his father and mother begin to make time for him.
Since they both wanted to make it up to him, his aunt naturally knew about this and deliberately moved closer to the academy.
"Mia, Chris, why don't you both stay here tonight? Isn't the academy closed after the Pokemon expo?" Mother Vanessa asked.
It is a well-known fact that after the Pokemon Expo comes to an end, schools often provide a break to allow new trainers and their newly-bonded Pokemon to spend time together before resuming classes. This break allows trainers to establish a strong bond with their Pokemon partners and gain a better understanding of it first.
"Really? That's great!" It was Yuna who reacted first and looked at her mother and father with anticipation
Chris and Mia hesitated for a moment, unsure of whether it was appropriate or not.
"Chris, it's okay to leave your post for a little while. I'll make a note of your absence, but be sure to submit it later when you return to your post," Grandpa Dennis reassured him.
Aunt Mia still seemed hesitant, but when she looked at her sister-in-law blinking at her, she suddenly understood. "Alright then, we'll stay tonight. Yuna, don't be naughty. Audino, please look after her," she said.
"A~dinuu~A~dinuu!" Audino nodded and looked at Yuna with a gleam in its eyes, making Yuna flinch a little.
After talking with his family for a while, Jun bid farewell and headed to his room with Eevee in his hand. The night was still young, and the bright moonlight lightly draped the surroundings with its gentle glow. As he entered his room, he could feel Eevee's excitement as it looked around the unfamiliar surroundings. Jun smiled and gently patted its head, "Don't worry, Eevee. We'll make this room feel like home in no time."
