The sky outside had already been suffused with the light of day, yet in the aftermath of the recent commotion, neither the adventurers nor the merchants seemed to have any inclination to retire to their rooms and seek respite. Instead, they loitered aimlessly in the hall, their eyes fixed on the windows as they awaited the passing of the tempestuous sandstorm.
Limon sat in silence, oblivious to the fact that three pairs of eyes were surreptitiously observing him from a discreet corner of the hall. With the throng of people milling about, it was scarcely possible for him to detect that he was the subject of such scrutiny.
"Is that him?"
At a neighboring wooden table, Yuri, Yarina, and Leo were seated together. Yuri, having doffed her veil, still sported a half-mask that partially obscured her countenance.
Yarina stole a furtive glance at Limon from a distance and then turned her attention back to Yuri. "You suspect that he is the one?"
