Xion awoke thirty-eight years later, opening his eyes and surveying his bridge from where he sat on his throne. Two women stood before him, adorned in dresses of light. They were energy beings and seemed familiar from the original story.
"You've played a dangerous game," said one of the women. Both were brunettes of average height.
Xion recalled that one of their names was Oma Desala, and the other he only remembered by the nickname Merlin gave her, Morgana.
"What rules have I broken?" Xion asked.
"In some way, you knew the future," Morgana said.
"Interesting, but time travel is not prohibited," Xion replied. If it were, Janus, who had built time machines everywhere, would have been killed, and it was challenging for him to get rid of them.
"You never traveled through time; you're a being from a higher plane and don't belong to this world. Your arrival here already violated the natural laws," accused Morgana.
"The void that separates universes is vast, and only the most aberrant beings from the universes dare to cross them. Why would you risk your life that way?" Oma Desala asked.
Xion knew those risks, and indeed, only a mad god would cross the boundaries to another universe, losing all their power. If identified as a threat there, they would be easily killed without being able to resist. That's why he supposed gods from other universes didn't cross each other's domains. He himself had avoided going to the Star Trek universe because the Q were there, and they wouldn't hesitate to kill him.
"I seek a way home," Xion said.
"And that's why you've interfered in this universe?" Morgana asked.
"I wouldn't have done it if you hadn't allowed me. You could have asked me what I wanted," Xion said.
"What are your plans now?" Morgana asked. Her tone was neutral, but her question implied a threat.
"Won't you allow me to touch the Ori?" Xion asked.
"The Ori cannot resist your current power, but they are not the only ascended beings in this universe," Morgana warned. That meant everyone would turn against him if he used his divine power against the Ori.
"As you wish; then a mortal from this universe will take care of them," Xion said and smiled at Morgana's feigned shock. Oma Desala sighed at his hypocrisy.
"When you entered that dimension and took the mortal named Ma'chello with you…" Oma Desala didn't say more.
"I assumed you wouldn't let me act against the Ori," Xion said.
Oma Desala looked at Morgana. It was clear that she also imagined he knew about the Ori before entering that dimension and had made plans, practically telling him to send others to deal with the Ori.
"So you're interested in me staying in this world," Xion said. Since these two were here and still hadn't told him to leave, it was evident they wanted him to stay.
"We are willing to give you a chance if you're interested," Morgana proposed.
These beings wanted to harness his power to become stronger. Xion supposed the gods who used to invade other universes weren't very sociable creatures. But Xion wouldn't oppose it because he wanted to stay in this universe and expand his search radius toward his own world.
"Well, I seek my own universe and plan to use this universe to expand my search radius," Xion explained. Morgana frowned. Xion raised an eyebrow for her to explain.
"The universes you can see are those that resonate with your own abilities, knowledge, and power, besides the universe you are in. Right now, even if you return to your world, the universes you can see should have increased," Morgana explained. She didn't ask which was his original universe, and Xion wasn't planning to tell anyone. Xion clenched his teeth.
This meant that if he didn't see his original world while constructing his sensor artifact, he could only continue exploring other worlds and accumulating abilities, knowledge, and territories.
Xion wasn't planning to give up on that. He was a god; it's not like he would die anytime soon. Although, if what he had gained wasn't enough to see his original world, he would have to make additional plans because he needed another way to split his soul without dividing his power.
"Thanks for the information; I'll keep that in mind," Xion said because, for now, he didn't intend to share anything with these beings. In his previous life, he had learned not to pay anything upfront.
Xion looked significantly at the two women because what followed was adapting his abilities and powers, and he didn't want them there. The women bid him farewell with a nod, and he was alone.
Just in case, he searched everywhere on the Titan and then moved to his own dimension to stay away from the eyes of any ascended being.
Once alone, Xion's eyes turned black, with silver circles and fluorescent white pupils and irises. His divine body had returned, and it was like nothing else in this universe, with instant regeneration, almost unlimited energy, and all his divine abilities.
Still, he couldn't compare to an ascended being, as their reality manipulation abilities were far superior to the power of his creation of all things jutsu.
However, the ascended beings wanted his divine power, and that was not for nothing.
Xion rose from his throne, and his body merged with the Titan as his divine cells assimilated it along with his small soul.
Two hours later, the Titan, ten kilometers in size and with billions of tons of resources, whether biomass or mineral resources, turned into himself, a 1.90m tall man with definitive eyes, an athletic body, straight golden hair, and a casual appearance in flannel, jeans, and sneakers. Finally, his eyes turned blue, and Xion exited that dimension he had created to return to the space between galaxies.
When he appeared, turbulence occurred in the space waves, spreading for hundreds of thousands of light-years, even changing the smallest particle of matter into energy. Xion closed his eyes for a few seconds and then opened them. As he did, the turbulence disappeared, and not even the most advanced sensor could detect his presence.
Xion activated the Rinnegan, and Jack O'Neill, along with a child who was his son, appeared in front of him. Xion had transferred all his memories of his life since he occupied his body until he arrived at Atlantis. To compensate for that part, he included a report with a brief description of what he had done there, the same as known in the SG1.
"Do you find your compensation fair?" Xion asked as O'Neill embraced his son, who remained unconscious.
"I still remember how you assimilated my soul," he said, staring into the void of space, as if he doubted his own eyes.
"Ultra-mega-cosmic powers," Xion said with a smile, explaining his situation and why he could stand in deep space without dying. Jack grimaced. "As for your death at my hands, I didn't want you to doubt your return to life, so I haven't erased that memory from your mind, although I did from your son's," Xion explained.
"That's appreciated," O'Neill said, looking at his son. He then looked him in the eyes. "Thank you," he said with difficulty. Xion nodded, thinking of his own family and feeling a twinge of envy.
"I'll send you home; I left some gifts around there. Don't forget to contact SG1. Since I took your place, you don't need to return to service, but remember to contact General Hammond and inform him of your return because I'm ten years late with this promise. When I made it, I hadn't thought about creating an empire," Xion said with a sigh.
"Better late than never," O'Neill said.
"Hey, I haven't taken any of your time. With the things I left for you on Earth, you can live a long life by your son's side, and as long as you don't join the military, I suppose you'll be safe. Eternal youth doesn't mean eternal life, remember that," Xion warned, as this was something even a god should remember. O'Neill nodded, and Xion opened a spatial tunnel, which was also a tunnel connecting two timelines since O'Neill would be sent to the future from where he had departed.
Xion had already arranged everything for him, so he wouldn't have any discrepancies upon return, leaving money in his bank account, his papers in order, and even adding special fish to his lake to play a small prank on him the next time he tried to fish.
"Just walk?" O'Neill asked, and Xion nodded. O'Neill walked, and the tunnel closed behind him.
…
Xion disappeared and reappeared in a temple located on an isolated planet lost on the outer edge of the Milky Way.
Anubis was in a large stone hall, somewhat in ruins, sitting on a stone throne and using a shield to interact with reality.
Xion assumed he was waiting for his opportunity to regain his power while gathering information about the other Goa'uld, as in the original story. However, since the Goa'uld had fallen because he had returned to the future, his plans would be delayed, and he would have to wait for his chance when the empire he had created weakened to seize his opportunity.
Anubis was in no hurry. He could simply sleep and wait for a thousand years, two thousand years, or a million years because Anubis was an ascended being and wouldn't die of old age. Time was insignificant to him, making him a threat that the empire couldn't face since he would always have the chance to attack and retreat without suffering any harm if he failed. There was nothing capable of killing him, perhaps imprisoning him, but even that wasn't certain.
"Interesting. What proposal do the ascended beings bring me this time?" Anubis said mockingly when he saw Xion appear before him.
Anubis, a Goa'uld who had tricked Oma Desala into helping him ascend, later revealed his true nature as an ascended being and began planning his dominance over the galaxy, laughing in Oma Desala's face.
The other ascended beings, to punish her for helping him, decided to let Anubis do as he pleased, as long as he didn't use his ascended abilities or the knowledge he had gained since the individual spent a thousand years pretending to gain knowledge before returning to the material plane and revealing himself as the psychopath he was.
"I'm not an ascended being," Xion said with a smile, and Anubis rose from his throne. He pressed a button, and a massive explosion destroyed the throne, the temple, and several kilometers around, leaving a deep crater in its place. Anubis's servants nearby also died instantly.
The explosion created a crater over a kilometer deep and left the landscape in ruins. The air was turbulent around them, and Anubis's shields had disappeared too. However, Anubis, a shapeless mass of energy, and Xion hadn't moved an inch from their positions, and the explosion seemed to pass through them. Xion made a small gesture, and all the dust settled, even the uncontrolled storm stopped.
"I'm not an ascended being, but I possess equivalent power, and physical weapons don't affect me unless I desire it," Xion said to Anubis's floating figure.
Xion raised his hand, and Anubis's body flew towards him, regardless of whether it was made of energy; his Rinnegan had no such limitations—all could be affected by its attraction.
"You're breaking the rules!" Anubis squealed, facing his imminent death.
"I, breaking the rules? Anubis, you're a god interfering in the mortal plane. You're the graphic description of breaking the rules. The only reason the ascended beings haven't erased you from existence is that you're someone else's punishment.
"However, I've spent twelve years of hard work in the material plane, and I won't let everything fall apart because of a despicable worm like you. So, if you wish to defend yourself, you can, because no ascended being likes you, and no one will help you. You're simply vermin, and no one will defend you," Xion warned.
"Wait, we can work together," Anubis said, apparently not daring to use his powers as an ascended being. Xion frowned in his mind, understanding that this individual would be useless in testing the power of an ascended being. He sighed.
"Anubis, do you think you're immortal?" Xion asked and began extracting his soul.
Anubis screamed, but he couldn't offer the slightest resistance, and like everyone before him, he lost his soul as Xion absorbed his memories and assimilated them. His energy body was reached by nanite tentacles to feed his cells and store the rest, no different from what he did with physical bodies, although this was easier because he didn't have to convert matter to energy.
Xion grimaced because Anubis's knowledge was garbage compared to Merlin's. The ascended beings never trusted him, and everything Anubis knew, Xion already knew.
Xion sighed; eliminating Anubis brought him no benefit other than preventing him from becoming a threat to disrupt his work. As for threats like the Haschen or other hostile civilizations in the galaxy, none of them were immortal gods, so the empire had the tools to face them, and if they failed, it was their responsibility…
Hundreds of ascended beings appeared around him; these were some of the few inhabiting the Milky Way. Morgana was at the forefront of the group.
"We had already passed judgment on Anubis," Morgana said in a neutral tone.
"Based on what? What are the laws of the ascended beings?" Xion asked, receiving a psychic transmission from Morgana with a whole set of laws and rules that the ascended beings used. Xion smiled.
"I'm not a lawyer, but it seems to me that you've ignored your own laws with Anubis. No matter what you say, there's no way these laws can tolerate one of you intervening in the mortal plane, being an ascended being, regardless of whether you use you're abilities or power. Your mere presence is a violation of your own laws," Xion said. "If I'm wrong, then let me do the same as Anubis and intervene in the mortal plane.
"I'm willing to swear to you that I won't use any divine abilities or any knowledge I haven't gained as a mortal," Xion proposed with a smile.
Some ascended beings blinked, for their current knowledge was no different from what they had before becoming gods, and their strength and power were also above any other. If they allowed him to do as he pleased, he could impose his will over the entire galaxy without any problem.
Some ascended beings blinked, and others grimaced, which was an admission of their own guilt. Anubis was breaking the rules, and they all knew it.
"What will you do now?" Morgana asked helplessly.
"Now that the Ori are gone, I'll take their place in their galaxy. I don't agree with their rules, but I'm not interested in living secluded from people. I'll build a civilization that produces movies and video games for me. You can come to my palace whenever you like," Xion offered, and the ascended beings expressed disapproval.
"Don't worry; I won't break any of your rules by interfering in your lives or solving your problems. I think you should already understand what I think about working for others," Xion said. What he didn't mention was that his friends could always move galaxies, and once there, he would be free to intervene in their destinies.
Morgana nodded, understanding why he was moving galaxies. However, as the rules of these ascended beings only applied in their own galaxy, they couldn't say anything about what he did outside of it.
Xion bid farewell to everyone with a nod and took a step to move through space and appear in the Ori galaxy.
Xion's current divine body had no comparison to his previous divine body obtained in the ninja world. His physique remained the same. Xion had yet to find anything superior to the Ten-Tails' body, with its divine physical resistance, instant regeneration, and divine energy capacity. There was nothing even remotely similar in this universe. However, his upgrades were not related to his physique.
His soul also remained the same, a fusion of the divided Ten-Tails' soul, with one half belonging to him and the other half to Naruto in the ninja world.
His current improvements were technology combined with his divine abilities and all the knowledge he gained in this world. Firstly, the capability of Wraith ships, which were biological organisms but could use a DED (Dimensional Energy Device) as an energy source. These DEDs had already been upgraded to DED 2.0, utilizing the knowledge he obtained from Merlin, improving their efficiency twentyfold.
With this, Xion had integrated this energy-absorption ability of Wraith ships into his own body, and now his body could use DED 2.0 as its own energy. Of course, the DED 2.0 had a half-meter diameter altogether, so there was no way to integrate them into his body unless he had a miraculous ability that allowed him to make them smaller, which he had stolen from Ishiki of the Otsutsuki in the ninja world, enabling him to shrink the DED 2.0 to a cellular level.
Thus, each cell in his body was now equipped with a personal DED 2.0. Considering there were more than a hundred trillion cells in his body, this made him the most terrifying existence in this universe and the ninja universe.
Of course, the performance of a miniaturized DED 2.0 was not the same as one with a half-meter diameter. Still, there were billions of them, and now, with just a flick of a finger, he could erase a stellar system from existence, as the energy he could unleash with a single finger was at a cosmic level.
If Xion wanted, destroying an entire galaxy would be no problem, so his power scale had surpassed his version in the ninja world by thousands of times. And all of this was thanks to his divine body, which had no equal in this universe and that the ascended beings couldn't copy unless he gave them a sample, which was what they wanted from him and what Xion would only give them if they let him work in peace on his quest back to his own world.
For what the ascended beings wanted to increase their power was evident to Xion. "Cosmic horrors." In this Stargate universe, the ultimate representation of power was the ascended beings, and although their power was supreme for a mortal, at the god level, each of them would not surpass their own version in the ninja world, although they had the advantage of being thousands, perhaps millions. They had the power to make a planet disappear and alter reality at a planetary level.
For a mortal, this was a force they couldn't match unless they had weapons of mass destruction, and those weapons didn't affect the ascended beings. But in existence, there were cosmic horrors beyond all logic and understanding, capable of creating and destroying not only simple galaxies but entire universes with billions of galaxies.
If Xion compared himself to the cosmic horror that was the ultimate Lovecraftian god, who in a simple dream and slip created his own universe with billions of galaxies and hundreds of thousands or millions of gods, some of them as powerful as he was now, and others capable of devouring star systems from hundreds of galaxies at once, the ascended beings' need for power was more than evident.
The ascended beings wanted to protect their own universe, and their arrival in this world gave them the opportunity to increase their own power to achieve it.
However, this didn't mean that the Lovecraftian god could come to this universe and do as he pleased. This wasn't his universe, and if he decided to come here, even a mortal could handle him. The problem lay in that the ascended beings might overlook his Infiltration, and like Xion did, their powers could adapt, which would mean the end. There was no way the ascended beings could face such a formidable being.
Xion sighed. He felt no concern for the ninja world because with his current power, if something like that happened there, it would be doomed as well. However, the Lovecraftian god, whom he had never seen but considered real due to the existence of everything else, should be sleeping right now. In his existence, he had shown no interest in other universes. His descendants were something different, but those he could easily defeat, and he wasn't too concerned about them.
Other existences didn't seem very powerful in his eyes, so he pushed those thoughts aside and used his Omniscience to cover the entire Ori galaxy. With his current power, his Omniscience, which previously only covered a planet, now had a radius of about three hundred thousand light-years, enough to cover the Milky Way three times.
Xion smiled. Ma'chello had taken care of the Ori, using all the materials and resources he had hidden in the dimension he had created. There, he left the weapon he had created using Merlin's knowledge. Xion pretended to create a parallel dimension out of simple curiosity and took the two elders with him. He had previously deposited the necessary knowledge in Ma'chello's mind to use the weapon and send it along with a one-way portal to the Ori galaxy.
Xion already suspected that the ascended beings wouldn't allow him to deal with the Ori on his own, so he ensured the death of the Ori. Now he was confirming that Ma'chello had followed his instructions and that all the Ori were dead, while their Priors, for days, had been praying awaiting his return.
Xion, who was in the void of space, took a step and appeared in the city of Celestis, where the Ori had their mortal residence. In Xion's opinion, it was a rather horrible place, as it was a temple with a fire altar that, with the Ori deceased, was extinguished. Doici, the High Priest Prior and servant of the Ori, was kneeling in prayer, accompanied by ten other Priors.
Since the Ori were dead, Xion had a free rein to take their place. He reignited the Ori's fire to maintain the illusion. Then, he enveloped himself in flames, changing his casual clothes to white robes and a crown of fire with glowing eyes.
Finally, he used his psychic abilities to read the minds of all the present Priors, learning everything they knew without them realizing. With the acquired knowledge, Xion revealed himself to the fervent Priors and the Doici, whose hopes were revived as they saw the Ori's fire returning.
The Priors saw him emerge from the fire and were stunned, as the Ori had never taken a corporeal form to communicate with them. Nevertheless, they hurried to prostrate and worship him, not even considering the possibility that he might be an imposter, as such a thought didn't fit into their minds.
"I am Xion, I am the Ori, and the Ori is me!" declared Xion, and his voice was heard by all the Priors in the galaxy, who fell to their knees in worship. "Doici, faithful Priors, the time has come, and I, Xion, have decided that from today, this galaxy will thrive under my guidance and my laws, for I will become its new ruler. Those who wish may believe in me, and I will console their souls and answer their supplications.
"However, we will not pursue or punish those who decide to deviate from this path," Xion declared. The Priors had some doubts about this change of ideas, as the Ori used to kill those who didn't believe in them, but they didn't express them, as the Ori were gods, and now Xion was too.
"From now on, only I exist, Xion. Doici, you are the first among your brothers. Obey my command and guide this galaxy towards a future of peace and prosperity, granting knowledge to those who value this path and disregarding those who seek chaos and destruction," Xion said, transferring knowledge at the level of the galactic empire to the leader of the Priors.
Doici nodded with absolute faith, and the other Priors throughout the galaxy prepared to preach the new Origin and the era change, according to the knowledge, laws, and rules that Xion was providing them.
Xion had completed a full transformation of the Book of Origin and introduced radical changes in the laws. It would take time for the people of this galaxy to leave their customs behind, but free will was powerful in generating new ideas, and the Priors would become a source of knowledge and reward for those who wanted to follow their path.
…
With his declaration and words, Xion disappeared, returning to the Ori's fire and heading to an uninhabited solar system.
Xion created a shadow clone that would lead the Priors and build an empire throughout the galaxy. Then, he produced something similar to a black bean and handed it to the clone. This small black bean was where the Wraith were in hibernation. The clone made the tiny bean disappear and moved to return to Celestis and begin its work.
Xion reached out, and the entire solar system vanished. This place was rich in naquadah, neutronium, and trinium, unique elements in this universe that Xion, even as a material world existence, needed for himself.
Xion continued moving to other deserted star systems, absorbing and miniaturizing them to store as resources. After collecting trillions of tons of resources, he sought a planet and created a device similar to the one he had in the ninja world to view other universes, but this time he didn't need clones to operate it or fuel it with chakra, as it was a biotechnological piece millions of times more powerful.
Xion saw dozens of universes before him and recognized more than ten of them, but he closed his eyes for several seconds because his own universe was not among them.
After a few seconds, Xion opened his eyes with determination and created a portal to the ninja world, one year after his departure, connecting with his other half in that world at that moment.
…
Naruto woke up and stretched. Then, he saw his white-eyed wife sleeping beside him and gave her a small kiss. She woke up and looked at him with a slight smile and a somewhat blush-faced. They had been sleeping together for over fifty years, but that was Hinata's nature, and Naruto would feel strange if he saw her acting otherwise.
After taking a bath and going through his morning routine, Naruto had breakfast with Hinata, Hanabi, who practically lived in his mansion, and their three daughters, whose features resembled their mother's. Naruto didn't want blonde daughters, as the existence of a prodigy like Boruto had affected him, so he made sure they weren't born. His daughters sometimes gave him headaches and could be annoying from time to time, but he loved all three of them and considered those little annoyances nothing to him.
His current biggest problem was that his daughters had inherited his carefree character, and any mention of marriage was a taboo for them, so he didn't expect to have grandchildren soon.
After finishing the meal, Naruto headed to the Hokage's office, where Kakashi was handling the Hokage's duties. Kakashi looked at him with some hostility when Naruto arrived. Kakashi assumed the position of Hokage ten years ago, although the original jōnin board had initially voted for him. However, after some "private" conversations, they changed their vote in favor of Kakashi.
There were no other available candidates. Tsunade was young, and as long as she wanted to remain so, she would, but after being Hokage for almost forty years, she was tired and threatened to kill her way into retirement. Therefore, the jōnin decided to avoid a massacre and appoint a new Hokage. In the village was Sakura, who was Tsunade's disciple and also her right hand, meaning she also threatened to kill her way into retirement if her name was mentioned.
Sasuke had ten wives and more than a hundred children, a thousand grandchildren, and about two hundred great-grandchildren, forming a whole clan to take care of. He had no time to be Hokage. Itachi was an anonymous Anbu, Neji was the current leader of the Hyūga clan, Gai and Rock Lee were the village's main weapons, and Naruto was a very busy person. Therefore, among the most powerful ninjas, only Kakashi remained.
"Kakashi-sensei, if you keep looking at me like that, I'll think you hate me," said Naruto.
"Naruto, I've been Hokage for ten years so that you can slack off!" scolded Kakashi.
"Kakashi-sensei, every time I come to see you, you tell me the same thing. I told you before, I have too much work to be Hokage. I am the hero of this world and its protector. You are just a Hokage in charge of a small village, and you're already complaining. You should be ashamed!" reprimanded Naruto. It wasn't his fault that the world wasn't under attack—. "Now, let's go find my master and leave a clone here," he said, looking at the empty office—. "Kakashi-sensei, you are too distrustful.
"A few dozen clones would solve all your paperwork problems," Naruto said. He was the head of the Root and hadn't been to his office in decades, but everything still ran perfectly.
"Naruto, you're lazy!" scolded Kakashi helplessly, standing up and creating a clone.
Naruto moved again, and Kakashi followed him, as he had Obito's eyes and after Naruto, he could become the strongest ninja in this world.
Naruto arrived in a large hall where an old woman was fixing a kimono for Jiraiya.
"Master, it's time," said Naruto appearing a few meters away from him, followed by Kakashi. Jiraiya, whose appearance hadn't changed in the last fifty years, nodded. He placed a book he was reading on a shelf, as this hall was an office with its own library, and nodded.
"Today, I won't take no for an answer!" declared Jiraiya. Kakashi blinked. "I'll either get a yes, or we'll die trying!" Jiraiya declared.
Kakashi turned around and pretended to slip through space, but his spatial dojutsu was useless against Naruto, who grabbed him by his Hokage robe and returned him to his place.
Jiraiya led the way out of his three-story house. He had established himself as a writer and was quite famous in the ninja world because he was the master of the current emperor.
After making sure he no longer wrote inappropriate content, the emperor recognized him as his master, increasing his fame and making him one of the most recognized writers in the ninja world, generating millions in profits every year. However, Tsunade still eyed him suspiciously, even though the perverted sage had been an honorable person for over twenty years.
She beat him up every time he came to ask for her hand, but she didn't reject him, indicating that he still had a chance. Tsunade hadn't married either.
…
"This is so boring," complained Shikamaru, the current commander of the Leaf's forces, at the village gates.
Shikamaru looked like he was thirty, not because Naruto had given him a youth treatment but because he had earned it from the emperor himself. He rewarded his most outstanding ninjas with a serum that extended their youth for three hundred years, not just for the Leaf Village but for all ninja villages.
Now, all elite Jōnin received this gift, which had caused a drastic reduction in the birth rate of ninja villages, as elite ninjas didn't age normally and didn't feel the need to have children soon. This was the case with Shikamaru, who was lazy before receiving his reward, and now that he had over two hundred years of youth ahead, he saw no need to have children soon and still had no descendants.
This created other problems besides birth rates, as some ninjas had died, and, not having children, their families were in trouble. To solve this, ninjas who received recognition from the emperor were forced by their families to have offspring, but in cases like Shikamaru's, he was too lazy to obey his elders and still had no children.
"Shikamaru, put that laziness aside. Today, we must have the strength of youth on our side, for we must tame a beast…" Gai was sent flying from a kick by Jiraiya.
"Today, keep your mouth shut!" Jiraiya scolded angrily, also looking threateningly at Rock Lee, as the last time they insulted Tsunade, violence erupted in the streets of Konoha. Of course, Naruto disappeared the moment things turned violent.
"We should have a good celebration today," said Shoji, who wore the Akimichi clan's war attire.
"They're going to scold us again," Asuma complained with a sigh.
"They're a nuisance," said Sasuke, who miraculously found time to act as his clan's representative at these official ceremonies.
"Let's move forward!" Jiraiya decreed in a shout, to silence the complaints of the more than fifty men present, and took the lead to lead the way through the main streets of the Leaf.
…
In the last three years, the population hadn't grown too much, and the village was only a bit larger. However, the houses and mansions were all luxurious, and the main streets were paved with stone, with squares and numerous shops. The Leaf had become a commercial village, and more than half of the money came from trade.
With his clones watching over the city, the Leaf was as secure as the Rain Village, attracting both ninjas and merchants alike. Moreover, there was Jiraiya, the emperor's master, making the village a tourist spot where thousands watched his procession and showed support as they traversed the city to reach the mansion, the remnants of the Senju clan to which Tsunade belonged.
…
Jiraiya reached the front of the mansion and, with dignified posture, shook the handles of a huge double door while respectfully requesting entry. While he did this, the shrewd ones prepared their escape, and the crazier ones, like Gai and Rock Lee, shouted their support and demanded that Tsunade come out to greet them.
The double doors were opened by two women, and Tsunade became visible to everyone in the center of the stone path in her garden, with Sakura on one side and Shizune on the other. Tsunade wore a green yukata that, while not a kimono, gave her a certain formal air.
"Speak!" Tsunade ordered threateningly, cracking her knuckles, signaling that there would soon be bloodshed. Jiraiya nodded solemnly and turned to them to indicate that everything was under control and that this time he would triumph, as he had promised.
Naruto thought that today his teacher truly had a somewhat strange air, as in his previous presentations, he would already be declaring his intentions and asking for Tsunade's hand, threatening to stay there all day if she didn't accept being his fiancée, to which Tsunade responded by beating him up. Other times, someone like Gai spoke too much, and the request ended before it began.
Jiraiya looked at Tsunade solemnly and…
Naruto blinked like all his companions, as Jiraiya had knelt and then prostrated himself.
"Tsunade, I was a bad man in the past and could never earn your trust for being a rogue and a scoundrel. Today, I apologize for that and also ask you to grant me your hand in marriage. I swear I will work hard to be worthy of your trust," Jiraiya solemnly vowed, leaving everyone shocked. Even Tsunade, Sakura, and Shizune were stunned, but as time passed, Jiraiya didn't move from his spot or say anything more.
…
"I accept," Tsunade said a long minute later, once again leaving the crowd, who had just started blinking, shocked.
Jiraiya stood up and bowed. Tsunade smiled and stepped aside to invite them into her home.
Upon entering, they were greeted with a banquet, making everyone look at Jiraiya. He was really serious, and he had worked things out with Tsunade. Perhaps he had said something that motivated her to take his proposal today seriously because Tsunade was just as surprised as everyone when Jiraiya prostrated himself. Naruto didn't think she expected what happened.
…
After a day of celebrating their teacher's engagement, Naruto was on the terrace of his mansion, looking at the Hokage monument, where the first, Hashirama; the second, his brother Tobirama; the third, Sarutobi; the fourth, his father Minato; the fifth, Tsunade; and the sixth, a reluctant Kakashi, were commemorated.
"Naruto?" called Hinata from behind him. Naruto tapped the ground next to him for her to sit and then hugged her to kiss her forehead.
"Naruto, are you okay?" asked Hinata when he let her go. Naruto made a face.
"I think I don't feel well," said Naruto, and Hinata clung to his chest.
"Naruto, you're not going to see our daughters married for a long, long time. They take after me, but they're twice as lazy as you," Hinata said with regret.
"Hey, do you want to be a grandma already?!" exclaimed Naruto. Hinata rolled her eyes. "This is serious, Hinata. How can we be grandparents in the prime of our youth?" asked Naruto.
"They don't have to get married, just have a few babies," insisted Hinata.
"Hey, did you come to console me or make me feel worse?" complained Naruto with a sigh. Hinata hugged him without saying anything.
"Hinata, I want to have my parents back," confessed Naruto. "I've always wanted it, even though I never knew them, and now I'm an old man whose wife wants grandchildren. I want to have my parents by my side," he added.
"Then bring them back. Life will always be better," said Hinata as if it were obvious.
"Don't you think I'm selfish?" asked Naruto.
"Naruto, if you wanted candy and had money to buy it while others didn't, would you let it pass?" asked Hinata, letting go of him and looking him in the eyes. Naruto shook his head. That wasn't his way of thinking. He hugged her again and kissed her on the forehead.
"Hinata, I'll become Hokage. I need something to boast about. It's also time to push those lazy daughters of ours to each have a child. I need at least three grandchildren to show to my parents," said Naruto, nodding. Hinata hugged his chest again…
The Stargate portal had opened again, and this time, from both sides, his other half had crossed without issues. It seemed that if the portal opened from both universes, it could be crossed without difficulty.
Naruto smiled. His other half had suffered a bit in the Stargate universe, but he wasn't willing to give up. He was already making plans to continue his quest and preparations to overcome the adversities he would face when he became mortal again.
Naruto didn't go to meet him yet, as they were one and already together, so the reunion wasn't necessary. His other half had plans that would halt his exploration for a few days, so he could go to meet him the next day…
…
Xion arrived in the ninja world one afternoon, a year after he had left, manipulating time to make it so.
…
The next day, his other half showed up at the underground base where the portal was located. He observed the alternate dimensions he had created while Xion handed him several billion tons of trinium, naquadah, and neutronium, so he could also upgrade his body. These resources were reduced to the size of marbles.
"I've suffered without my powers, and it won't happen again. I've created millions of clones with bodies no stronger than an ordinary person, with different heights, weights, and body states. Even if I become mortal again, I'll be a warrior capable of adapting to any body and maximizing its performance. I also have them practice with all kinds of weapons for about a thousand years," explained Xion to his other half, even though he was already aware of everything he did. This was just for the feeling of talking between them.
"Which world do you plan to go to next?" asked Naruto, playing along.
"I was thinking of going to the Harry Potter world because there's magic, an element that can expand the universes within our reach. But I've discovered another problem. My connection with the Stargate universe begins to weaken when leaving there. If enough time passes, I'll lose that territory. And we can't split our soul further, as doing so will result in losing abilities and power," said Xion, raising his hand towards the universe sensor device and opening a window to one of them.
"A cultivation world," said Naruto.
"One where we can find a soul that I hope will be more useful than the Ten Tails' soul. We've also reached the limit of this body. In fact, if I were to explode even with a tenth of the power I possess now, this body would shatter into pieces," explained Xion.
"And do you think the body and weapon of a dragon god will surpass the Ten Tails?" said Naruto.
"The Ten Tails would be just a small beast in this universe," replied Xion. Naruto frowned. Xion knew he couldn't deceive him, as there were two cultivation universes available, and he had selected this one. Surely, he had a reason.
"Don't go imitating that shameless protagonist," warned Naruto.
"Of course," replied Xion. He was just a fan; it didn't mean anything would happen.
Three days later, Xion was ready to cross into another universe.
"A hundred years is the time when the portal to the Stargate universe will close, and there won't be any temporal tricks there," warned Naruto. The passage between universes had its own rules, and they couldn't influence them, despite being able to do so to choose the timeline in other universes, as it was easy for them to do. "Be careful," he added, holding the package of sealed cells and soul, which Xion had become.
"It's a safe world in ruins. There are no powerful gods protecting it, and although there are demigods, they aren't even at the level of altering reality," said Xion confidently. This time, his mortality wouldn't catch him by surprise, as he was prepared.
…
Naruto threw the package of cells into the inter-universe portal and watched its path. So far, nothing had happened, but that didn't mean they would let their guard down.
…
Author's Note: End of the epilogue. As you can see, the next universe is a cultivation one because Xion requires a stronger body and also a soul to control it. There's nothing like that in normal fictional worlds. Even Superman is too weak, as his body is inferior to the Ten Tails, which has instant regeneration. The soul is also nothing remarkable there, but in cultivation universes, the body and soul are the essence of power, so he will go to find them there.
