Capítulo 7: Chapter 7 - First customers (Rewritten)
-3rd person POV-
Emily: "I don't remember there being a building here"
Mike said with a serious face: "Because there wasn't one"
Emily: "Couldn't it have been built recently?"
Mike: "I was here 3 days ago and there was no building here. From how it looks, it couldn't have been built in 3 days, and it also looks weird, I haven't seen a building like that before"
Hearing that, the other two also got serious.
Bob: "So, you mean it just appeared? Emily, can you feel any mana?"
Emily answered with a confused expression: "I can't feel any mana"
Mike: "No mana? How is that possible? If this thing appeared here in such a short amount of time, how can it not be magic?"
Emily: "I can't feel it. For something this big the mana should have stayed in the area for at least a week"
Emily asked with a worried expression: "Should we leave? This might be dangerous, we should go back and inform the guild"
Mike: "Yes, we should go ba-" Mike couldn't finish his sentence when suddenly the doors of GM shop opened, and out of it came a masked man wearing a black tuxedo.
"We have guests I see" Said the masked man with a distorted voice.
The masked man, is of course Tony. As for the mask, Tony got it with his last MP.
When the team saw Tony they all got into their fighting stances and formation.
"Who are you?" Asked Mike with a forceful tone.
Tony: "Relax, I'm not going to bite you"
Tony realized that coming out with a mask and distorted voice in the middle of the forest wasn't the best idea. But the reason for that is that he prefers no one knowing that he is the owner. After all, if someone makes trouble in the shop and Tony kicks them out or does more, if they knew his face they might attack him when he leaves his territory.
"Nice to meet you, you can call me Game Maker" Said Tony.
"Game Maker?" All three of them were confused by that name.
Not caring about their confusion Tony continued "This here is my shop. It is a bit different from normal shops, in here you can experience stuff that you couldn't anywhere else"
"What stuff?" Although Emily was on guard, she couldn't help but ask as she was curious.
Tony smiled under his mask hearing that.
Tony: "Video games"
Emily: "Video games?"
Tony: "They let you experience a different world"
Emily's eyes widened when she heard that. Normally she will just take it as the words of a lunatic, but she felt like that man is telling the truth. From his shop to his clothes, they look like they belong to a different world.
Emily: "What is the price?"
Hearing this, the other two party members were stupefied 'You believe him?!'
Tony was feeling happy, he will finally have his first customer, and she might also spread rumors or tell her friends about this shop.
With a happy tone Tony replied "It is free for today"
Emily felt doubtful. After all, if it is as great as he is saying, why is it free?
Tony noticed her doubt so he said "You don't have to worry, it is free just for today. And I promise it isn't harmful to your body"
Tony: 'Though it might do a bit of mental damage'
After all, it is still a full dive vr, death there will feel like death in the real world, just without the pain.
Hearing him, Emily took a breath to calm down.
Emily seemingly giving up said.
Emily: "You can lower your guards"
Hearing her, her party got confused.
Emily: "I can't feel any malice from him"
Emily was born with the ability to sense mana extremely well, mana also changes depending on how someone feels. If someone is sad, the mana will feel heavy while if they have any malice it will be cold. Since birth she could feel even the tiniest malice in mana.
What she doesn't know, is that even if Tony had malice she wouldn't feel it. After all, Tony isn't from this world, so he doesn't have any mana in his body.
Mike: "Are you sure?"
"100%" Answered Emily.
Hearing that, Mike sighed and put his sword back into its sheath.
Mike looked at Tony "Sorry for pointing my sword at you. However if you do anything that endangers any of us I will not hesitate to cut you down"
Tony scoffed in his mind 'I would like to see you try'
Tony kept those thoughts inside him and said with a cheerful tone "There is no need to worry. So, do you want to try my game?"
"Sor-" Mike was going to politely decline, when he was interrupted.
"Sure" Said Emily
"Excellent, follow me" Said Tony while taking the lead.
"Why did you agree?" Asked Mike with a worried expression.
Emily smiled and replied "I already told you that he has no malice. And besides, aren't you curious what that video game thing is?"
Hearing that, Mike wanted to refute as this is too dangerous but he didn't. After all, he was also extremely curious about the video games and besides, Emily already said that there is no malice.
One time Emily was able to sense malice from 1 km away.
And so the party followed Tony inside.
