As Ralph, Grace, and Clark watched the master blacksmith begin grabbing tools, they were surprised to see the forge spirit inhabiting each as it was taken up during the carving process.
The dwarven language was not one that anyone spoke. Isnetad, it was a language of carved runes that were used specifically for crafting. To be able to understand it, one would need to grow and learn within the culture. It was just too complicated and specific.
The elves were similar, but they had what anyone would know as the language of nature. An unspoken and unwritten language that they could sense through the flow of elemental energies. Naturally, that was harder to grasp than the dwarven language. Or so Clark thought.
