Capítulo 169: Never Walk Again

After letting Willow talk to her younger sisters for a few minutes, Weiss swapped places with them, leaving the kids outside with Tori.

Almost immediately after they exited the door, Willow started crying.

"This is it, isn't it?"

Old Nes patted her forehead softly.

"It's ok, you'll make it through this. You're strong."

It didn't do anything to soothe the girl, though.

"I- If you cut more, what you said before won't work, right? Even with magic, I still won't be able to walk again."

Tori had previously amputated all of the way up to Willow's kneecap. Now that that area had become infected, Nes would have to cut into the girl's upper leg to save her life. If he did that, though, it would make attaching a prosthetic to be magically controlled almost impossible. 

After that, her only way to move around on her own would be with crutches.

"Please. Please don't do it."
